Chemical Name: PRAMOXINE (pra-MOX-een) and HYDROCORTISONE (hye-droe-KOR-ti-sone)
This medicine is a topical anesthetic and corticosteroid combination used to reduce itching, pain, redness, or swelling associated with many skin disorders.
INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding.
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. TO USE THIS MEDICINE: apply a small amount of medicine to the affected area. Gently rub the medicine in until it is evenly distributed. Wash your hands after applying this medicine, unless your hands are part of treated area. DO NOT BANDAGE OR WRAP the affected area unless directed otherwise by your doctor. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, apply it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
IF YOUR SYMPTOMS DO NOT IMPROVE within a few days or if they become worse, check with your doctor. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE for longer than prescribed. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE for other skin conditions at a later time. DO NOT GET THIS MEDICINE in your eyes. IF YOU ARE USING THIS MEDICINE FOR DIAPER RASH, avoid using tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include burning, itching, mild irritation, or dryness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur.
