This trimmer worked okay, but wasnt really great. I think I expected mroe, but for the price it wasnt too bad. I think it is even less effective on thick hair...it depends on what you are looking for, but, overall for the grooming on the daily, I wouldnt choose this product.
If you just want for occassional touch ups and trims, then this is fine.

This is a very handy item to have. The only thing to watch for is the levels of the shaver look deeper than they are. My friend thought a level one looked looked long enough, but it really cut his beard down to stubble. It did a great job, but that's not the length he was going for.

I've used both cheaper and more expensive multi-use trimmers and you get what you pay for in terms of output. if you are looking for a trimmer that won't get a lot of use (maybe once a week trimmings?) then this would probably suffice. But for more detailed, frequent and multi-use purposes, I would suggesting going with a more effective item (like the Philips QG3280).
