I have adult acne-prone skin and have used many brands of acne prevention products, all of which dry my skin too much so I need to moisturize which, on my skin, tends to promote blemishes.
I was glad to discover Philosophy's Hope in a Jar OIL FREE and, after using it for a month, will continue to use it as my skin has never looked better.
It took a bit of trial and error before coming upon a skin care regimen that keeps my adult acne-prone skin blemish free, more even in tone with minimized pore size and moist but not greasy. I have discovered that Philosophy products work best for me.
1. I pump some Philosophy Purity Made Simple one-step facial cleanser onto an Extra Gentle Buf Puf for Sensitive Skin (exfoliates dead skin so skin is brighter) and in a circular motion using very light pressure wash for 60 seconds and rinse well.
2. I apply the contents of one Philosphy Booster Caps retinol capsules all over my skin (this is what prevents blemishes, evens my skin tone, reduces the look of pores and, skin must love it as it rapidly drinks it in).
3. I apply a pea sized amount (really, not much is needed) of Philosophy's Hope in a Jar OIL FREE moisturizer. Again, my skin quickly drinks this in and feels like silk right after I apply it.
Using this regimen daily has garnered more than a few complements on my skin, which now looks good even without make-up.

I was hesitant to buy this since it is fairly new with no review, I have been using the original formula Hope in a jar for a couple of years now and I love it except that I find it greasy after the application. The consistency and smell are the same with the original one. But as always philosophy works wonder on my skin now with less grease that I love. Another thing is it came in a tube so it is easier to get the right amount that you need without mess. From now on this will be my daily facial skin care.
