This product is not "foamy" enough for me. I usually use Boots for around [$] and have been happy with it but wanted to try Philosophy because I use so many of their other face products. I'll go back to using Boots.

Best face wash ever for controlling acne. I've been using it for over a year and my face is completely blemish free (except of course for hormonal reasons around that time of the month). And yes, it is definitely drying, but duh...use a moisturizer after you wash your face and you won't have a problem.

As an almost lifelong acne sufferer, I've tried nearly everything and I know when something is helping and when it isn't. This does make a difference, as part of a regimen including both OTC and prescribed treatments. Unfortunately, it also very quickly dried out and even chapped my skin. That is really saying something, since my skin is very oily and not anywhere near sensitive. I suppose if used only a few times per week with other cleanser options it's workable, but given that there are other excellent acne cleansers out there that don't chap skin, this really isn't necessary. Perhaps with acne much worse than mine it would be worth it. The scent, while weak, is noticeably unpleasant.
