I was looking for a substitute for Kerastase's in-salon oil treatment. This does not fit the bill I'm afraid. It's sticky in your hair, so for someone who has curly hair, you can't comb it in while applying. I left it in my hair for over an hour with heat, and when it was all said and done, my hair did not feel any less dry. I still had to use conditioner to tame my hair down after I washed it out. If your hair is dry, damaged, chemically treated, I cannot recommend this product. I personally am better off with a cream deep conditioning treatment and will continue my hunt for a substitute for the Kerastase..

I have used a variety of Phyto products for decades now. I will forever be faithful to this product line. This hydrating oil is superb and works very well. I use it once a month, along with various other treatments from Phyto. At almost 60, I am so glad to have such a healthy mane of hair, and truly believe that the use of Phyto products over the years has helped maintain the health and integrity of my hair, despite searing heat from hair dryers and flat irons. This oil comes in individual glass tubes and is easy to apply and washes out just as easily. Superior and noticeable conditioning effect.

This product looks intimidating at first. It is packaged in glass, and looks very odd; however, it is surprisingly easy to use. I have very curly hair that I straighten with a flat iron every day. I have also colored my hair regularly for the past ten years. My hair tends to become brittle, dry, and weak. In fact, a year ago, it was breaking off and getting fried. I began using this product and noticed results right away. It made my hair shiny and soft. I even had people ask me what I was doing to make my hair look so shiny and healthy. I am normally very skeptical and didn't have much hope that this product would do anything. I noticed the difference after the first time I used this, and when I started receiving the compliments, I knew that I would stick with this product. I've been using it once a week, and I can't say enough nice things about the oils. It doesn't have the greatest smell, but it doesn't leave a buildup and the smell goes away as soon as you wash it out.

I have mixed ethnicity hair type which is very thirsty and sucks up everything I put on it. This oil is lightweight which as anyone with dry hair knows, is very important. It does not weigh the hair down. It also soothes my scalp wonderfully.
