I have been applying this to my face to get the redness away from my nose and skin around my nose (this makes me look like I have a drinking problem, which I don't) After this dries on my face, I apply my moisturizer and makeup. Somedays I notice the results more than others. I have been applying only 2 weeks twice a day, morning and night. We'll wait and see. The product is the best price here than anywhere else. I can deal with the smell, it really is not all that bad. Smells like a horsechestnut.

My vascular surgeon asked me to purchase this and although it has an unpleasant odor..it really works! When my lower legs are painful, I rub some of the cream into my skin and within a few hours I am able to feel the pain decrease considerably. (I did not give 5 stars due to the odor)
Suggestion-Purchase a new jar when the cream gets older as the odor becomes more pronounced.

I SWEAR to you....this works. I am 42 and have great skin - no problems....HOWEVER, I did inherit my moms spider vein problem on my legs. I've tried everything. This cheap product is the only one that shows marked improvement. Give it time, and put up with the smell, and you will see results!

It really does makes small capillaries veins disappear. You have to see it to believe it, like I have. Great product. I also had a soreness in the area where the veins were, no more, its gone.

For nearly two years I've battled repeated leg ulcers due to CVI. It takes a long, long time to finally close one up -- months, generally -- only to see discoloration just below it, for instance, getting darker, announcing the next one.

I bought a jar of Planetary Herbals Horse Chestnut Cream simply because I was desperate in trying to prevent another ulcer. Almost from the first application I saw the dark red skin (denoting a pooling of blood from insufficient blood movement up) begin to lighten. Also, the nearly black scattered spots that previously had always opened into a small ulcer first, stopped growing and began to tighten. Long story short, the shin is much better, feels fine, still looks awful due to scar tissue, but give me hope the circulatory efficacy of this product may well keep me from another ulcer.

I rarely ever write a review because I figure one person's trash is another person's treasure, but this cream is the foulest smelling stuff I have ever put on my body. I used it for 2 weeks straight without any results whatsoever on very tiny spider veins. I kept hoping that I would get used to the smell, but I just can't. I was so afraid that someone else would smell it and think I had developed a serious personal hygiene problem!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this because I read a few reviews saying that it is great for the treatment of varicose/spider veins. I should have looked into it further because I ended up throwing it away after I did some research online. This is not FDA approved and does have a list of possible side effects which can be quite serious. I also learned that you shouldn't use it while pregnant or nursing because it can be harmful to a baby. I am nursing so that alone was reason enough for me not to use it. It is my own fault for not researching it first. Be smart and check the warnings before you buy.

This product just smells bad. I thought it was just me, but it isn't: my guy actually came into my home office, stopped mid-stride, and started sniffing my room. When he got to me he wrinkled his nose and said "WHAT is that smell?" The smell just smells, bad. Not rancid, not off, just really really unpleasant. My guy actually asked me to not use the stuff anymore. And he never says things like that.

I wish I had taken a before picture. Too late now! I'm 30 and I have a few spider veins on my left shin. I'm not ready for that. I read the other couple reviews on this product and decided to try it. I'm not taking any supplements with it. I apply the cream once when I get dressed and once when I get undressed. Probably within 2 weeks I noticed a big difference. And considering it's fall and my suntan has been fading quite a lot, that's quite a feat! I bought one for my mom to try, she has a smidge of vericose vein on her ankle and I want to see if this cream helps that, too. Although the cream helps me a lot, some days the little red/purple lines are still more prominent than others (yet not as bad as in the beginning). It's been about a month now. The jar's about half gone. I am wondering if you have to constantly apply the cream, or if after a while you can stop. We'll see! I say def give it a try!
