Warnings
These pacifier nipples are made of pure latex for baby's comfort. However, all natural latex can weaken after 2-3 months of normal use and should be replaced. To prevent a possible choking hazard, test strength regularly by pulling hard on all parts. Regularly check nipple portion, especially when baby is teething. If pacifier nipple becomes sticky, swollen, cracked , torn or shows other signs of wear, discontinue use immediately. Do not expose to excessive heat or direct sunlight for an extended period of time. Do not leave child unattended with pacifier. Do not tie pacifier around child's neck as it presents a strangulation danger.
My infant started out with the Nuk pacifiers from the hospital. However, at 2 months old, he rejected any pacifier except his mom, dad and older sister's pinkies. Growing tired of this arrangement, I came across this Binky pacifier in latex at our drugstore. My baby whimpered a happy whimper and melted into my arms when he first took this pacifier. It was like his long-lost friend. Highly recommend for my nursing infant.
I just ordered 4 packages of these pacifiers thinking they were the original ones with the fatter nipple. They had the newer slim nipple that I can find in the stores. I was really disappointed because my son will not take the new ones and the older pacifiers are impossible to find. I will be returning these as I have tons at home.
my baby girl love these pacifiers. She also likes her Avent one, but if she wants to go to sleep she has to have this one! It must be really comforting to her!
There is nothing wrong with this product in that it seems to be durable and they certainly are cute but my baby won't use it. Both my first and my second really only wanted a Nuk as a binky for comfort sucking. However I can't recommend this product because my son doesn't want it.
My breastfed daughter will ONLY take these. We tried 12 other kinds and then tried these and she loves them. She's now 1 years old and the only problem we've had is when we can't find them!
My first son loved the playtex 0-6 month orthodontic latex pacifiers, so I bought these to try with my second son and he chokes on them. They are longer then the orthodontic and even though I am breastfeeding they must be larger then my nipple too. We are sticking with the orthodontic shape (Gerber Nuk and Playtex)
My son would not take his Avent pacifier for more than 30 second stretches. Then I was having trouble with breastfeeding latch on. A very wise lactation specialist told me that the shape of the pacifier that would work best would be the one closest to the nipple shape. (of course, why didn't I think of that??) We recieved the Playtex binks in the mail, sterilized them, and boom...the baby took to it right away. The cons would be that there aren't enough air holes and its huge size. But clearly, the good outweighs the bad.
To Clean: Boil pacifier for five minutes before first use only. Do not boil thereafter. Simply wash regularly in hot, soapy water for about one minute and rinse thoroughly. Do not use dishwasher or steam sterilizer.
