I currently have an adult and a puppy Rottweiler. This is a great toy to use during training. It's small enough to fit into your pocket or slide through a belt loop. The 2 squeakers gets the dog's attention and its a perfect size for a quick game of tug or fetch as a reward after a good performance.

Although both dogs have chewed / played with the Plubbers and the toys are still intact, the toys will not withstand long term, strong chewing. They are wonderful training aids and will probably be a good toy for a smaller, adult dog that displays gentle chewing habits.

This toy is SMALL - "mouse sized" - so we bought it for our 3 month old Mini Daschund Puppy and he loves it. It's light enough that he can carry it around in his mouth and has finally mastered the art of "squeaking it" on his own. I suppose that because he's not as strong as a mature dog, we haven't had any issues with the toy's durability. True the tail gets a little frayed with repeated use, but I haven't seen any stray fibers come out that he can eat. One of the few toys that consistently holds his attention.

My 7 year old dog loved this toy but it did not last a hour. Easily ripped it open and had hard foam pieces all over the house....

I wish it was durable because he loved it... :-(
