There were multiple steps, it was annoying to put in the gel in the teeth tray. If the gel came in contact with your gums/it stings. It says to use for 5-15 minutes depending on your teeth stains, but it's hard to keep it in because of the saliva collection. No rapid results, but over time the product works. Overall good price for what you get.

I didn't have high expectations for the product due to the price but liked the reviews so tried it...go glad I am using it. Wish I had taken 'before' picture. I used a tip about the Q-tip application and the toothbrush application and that shows me how well it works. Glad I made the purchase. Frequent smoker, and this helps lots. Use sparingly..a little does go a long way.

Hey Everyone..I completely forget about this product. I used to use the gel many years ago and then I quit drinking coffee and smoking and didnt need to use it anymore..but recently I've been drinking 3 to 5 cups of tea a day and realized its time to whiten up again.

anyway, I came across these reviews and its clear the biggest complaint is the "one size fits all" tray. well here's the best whitening tip you'll ever get (no matter what product you use - although I give this one 5 stars)..

..boil some water and drop the tray in for a few minutes..kinda poke it with a fork or something and you'll be able to "feel" when its softer and a bit pliable. when you feel its ready, take it out of the boiling water with some tongs PLEASE BE CAREFUL:)...it'll probably be ready to put in your mouth right away, but PLEASE, if you cant hold it with your bare hands ITS NOT READY:) when its ready, which should not take more than a few seconds out of the water, put it in your mouth and bite down hard while sucking in at the same time (at first with your mouth slightly open then completely closed) . It will mold around your teeth...keep sucking all the air and saliva fast and kinda roughly while also pressing over your teeth on the outside of your mouth (to help shape it)...Im sure you will all get it easily, but some people need to truly be walked through things step by step (Im thinking of my father here)...Ok. NOW, when it feels perfectly molded, take it out and immediately run it under COLD water and this will make the plastic hard again, making your mold permanent! if you're not happy with your impression, you can boil it all over again.

my best friend and I learned this great trick back in highschool from our football friends that did this with their mouthguards..this was before these great home whitening kits and we'd just buy mouth guards, boil them to fit and fill them with "oragel" or "orajel" I cant remember how its spelled...ps, the orajel really works but it really makes your gums and teeth sensitive like all the other products, but back then it was our only option...

I remember Plus White not hurting my teeth (I have very very sensitive teeth and have used sensodyne my whole life) and Im going right out to the "drugstore" to get some.

I used this according to the instructions initially and my teeth are several shades whiter. For continued use, I use it a couple of times a month to maintain the whiteness of my teeth. I was recently complimented by a dentist and she was impressed that a [$] whitener could acheive these results. I usually leave it on my teeth for about 10 minutes. I love the product.

The mouth tray that came with this didn't work for me (it's just too big), but otherwise I am very pleased with this product. I started applying the gel once a day (with a q-tip) and noticed the whitening effects right away.

I did have a little bit of gum sensitivity at first (don't try brushing this on with your toothbrush, even gently), but reconciled that with careful application.

Best of all, Plus White is terrific value. It works, you get a lot of gel for the money, and a little goes a long way. If I had a personal molded tray from my dentist to use with it, it would be absolutely perfect.

This product works if you use it along with a baking soda tooth paste, such as Arm and Hammer Advanced White. My teeth aren't very stained, just a little dingy from having braces and in need of some brightening. I had been using both the A & H toothpaste on my toothbrush and the 5 Minute Whitening Gel in the tray separately for about 2 weeks with little if any result. Then I decided to brush my teeth with both of them together on my toothbrush. I brushed for about 2-3 minutes, and my teeth were at least 3 shades lighter after the first time I did this! I was impressed. I've been doing this 2x's a day for the last 3 days, and my teeth are now about 5-6 shades lighter than they were. And I never had any gum or tooth sensitivity, and I have fairly sensitive teeth. I couldn't be happier!

What I love about this product is that it works and it's cheap. I've used the strips with fantastic results, but they are expensive and they take 30 minutes.

This product does not quite work as designed, but it does work with a little monkeying.

The included tray is a one-size-fits-all deal, and does not actually come into contact with the fronts of my upper or lower teeth (which are close-to-perfect, in terms of spacing and alignment, thanks to braces).

For me, filling the tray and biting into it does not work. I swab the gel directly on my teeth with a cotton swab (as per the alternate directions), and THEN use the tray to keep the gel in place (that part is not in the directions).

My final tweak is to put cotton under my tongue and inside my lower lip to absorb the mouthful of saliva that the tray causes me to create. This works pretty well, but I can say that I cannot see how anyone could keep this in for longer than the minimum five minutes. Even with the cotton, I produce so much saliva that after five minutes I have to spit it out so that I don't swallow it.

The process sounds complicated, but it doesn't take long once you get the hang of it. I DID see results after the first two uses. Perhaps people who aren't getting results are not getting the gel into contact with their teeth because, as for me, the tray doesn't work as designed. But again, it's cheap and fast, and it is SO worth it.

What a waste of my money, I used this for about one month with no results. My teeth are not badly stained; I think its false advertisement when they say that it whitens immediately. Of course I was not expecting those kinds of results. I seen minimal improvement, and when I say minimal I mean not even a shade whiter. Don't waste your money on this stuff.
