It says to use for 5-15 minutes depending on your teeth stains, but it's hard to keep it in because of the saliva collection. No rapid results, but over time the product works. I thought I'd give it a try because of the price and people are ALWAYS asking me what I use. I've tried the much more expensive in store treatments and nothing compares to the results I get with this, and for a fraction of the price. My only complaint is the mouth tray. They used to have a foam tray that after a few months was garbage, but it was a much better fit. But it's still way worth the price for my "1000 watt smile" people complement me on. I also used this product before they came out with the kit which includes the wash and tray, and it worked well then, but works even better now. I like that it's really gentle, and it's the only whitening product that doesn't make my teeth sensitive. I just started using it last week (haven't been using everyday) and my teeth are already a lot whiter. The mouth tray is comfortable and fits nicely. I've tried other teeth whitening products that made my teeth really sensitive and had so-so results (Listerine strips, crest white strips) but this one is so cheap and whitens very well and fast! Now using twice daily and nearly as white as ever, after 10 days. I also had trays from another whitening product (which didn't work) and use them, rather than the one that came with the product. I already had trays that were molded to my teeth from previous professional teeth whitening, so I used those trays with this gel. I get compliments ALL the time and I smoke, drink coffee, red wine, etc. Also, it doesn't make your teeth sensitive. I have pretty sensitive teeth and when I really want to whiten up, I'll do twenty minute sessions about every other day and I NEVER get any sensitivity. And for the price you can't go wrong! I think the people that are complaining about it probably already had pretty white teeth and that's why they didn't notice a difference. People need to realize that at home whitening isn't going to be a pleasurable experience either way, but being a little uncomfortable and in pain is worth it, for beautiful white teeth. I get compliments all the time on my big white smile and its all due to this gel. Stick to it and use it like the box tells you and you WILL notice a difference. Just remember that pain is beauty. Give it a few days, and you will notice a difference. I don't know about the mouthwash and tray...I just buy the gel and apply it with a q-tip for 20 minutes at night (yes, a little much, but it's worth it in the end).
