This isn't for everyone, but I prefer to minimize the drying effects of washing my face. My skin is on the dry side (I'm 36), but I'm prone to the occasional pimple and this doesn't seem to exacerbate the acne potential.

This leaves a protective (some would call it uncomfortable) film on the face, which I love. I can't stand the tight, dry feeling left by other cleansers, even if I moisturize immediately afterward; I don't like my skin to be unprotected for even a second.

I smear this on my face, scrub gently / wipe off with a damp washcloth, then generously apply heavy moisturizing cream (Pond's or generic version) followed by Neutrogena tinted moisturizer with SPF 20. Then I get dressed, etc., and blot off the excess oil with some tissue after it's dried / soaked in for about five minutes.

I look ten years younger than I actually am. It could be a luck / good genes, but this method seems to work better for me than light cleansing lotions and light moisturizers.

This takes off make-up so well. But even though it is non-comedogenic, I would not recommend using it if you are acne-prone (like I am). I wish Ponds would make this exact same product, but oil-free, or at least without mineral oil. I think it would remove the make-up and moisturize just as well if it were not SO greasy.

This product is pretty good during summer. My children's skin was being admired in their school when I started applying the cream to their bodies when the summer started. Good job.

Comments about POND'S Cold Cream Cleanser, 3.5 oz:

Because of the rave reviews, I tried this as a cheaper way to remove eye makeup. Frankly, smearing this stuff all over my eyes is messy and leaves my skin feeling greasy. It also made the eye makeup get inside my eyes because I had to rub it in order to remove the makeup. Uhh, no thank you. It works, but I'm not a fan of it. I'm going back to my old eye makeup remover once I use this cheap junk up.

I use this every night to remove makeup. I rub it all over my face for a few minutes then I rinse off with a warm wash cloth. I then use a cream cleanser to remove any residue. This way has worked for me for quite a while now.

I've been using this to remove eye make-up since I was 19, & I am now in my 40's. It doesn't dry out skin like some removers..and it's gentle on skin and eyes. It also moisturizes w/out being greasy.....the skin around my eyes...to this day..is almost wrinkle free thanks to this. As long as they make it,.I will be buying it.

Comments about POND'S Cold Cream Cleanser, 3.5 oz:

I've used this to lubricate prior to putting on make up for decades now. I've never been able to put on any makeup (foundation, powder, eye liner, mascara, ANYTHING) without this under it. If I don't, the makeup tears me up, won't go on smoothly, and is murder to take off. Now that I am older, it's even more vital to use this. It gives a less wrinkly surface, prevents tugging. Anyway, it's a miracle for what it does. It does protect against drying, and that's more than some fancy creams do. Look at the price. Especially HERE, where the price is more or less what it was decades ago in stores!!!! Unbelievable bargain here. When I turned 50, a friend's sister, cosmerologist, demanded to know what I use on my skin. She nearly fell down when I told her this is ALL I use. (Nowadays though, I use other stuff too, but this goes on last before makeup for reasons described above.)

I have normal to combination skin and I started using this about a week ago. I use it at night to take off my makeup and then wipe it off with a damp washcloth. I rinse my face off in the shower too. It makes your skin soft, clean feeling, and moisturized. It seems to take off every bit of makeup too which is great. I love the smell too, it kind of smells like roses, but it is a bit strong. I will continue to use this great product!
