I previously used the original cold cream, but felt that it was a bit too heavy for my combination skin. I read great things about the cucumber classic version, so I decided to try it. It has got to be one of the best beauty products I've tried in a long time. It has a nice consistency (lotion-like), smells very light and fresh, and feels wonderful. I massage a small amount (little goes a long way) onto my face, and remove it with a cotton pad, then wipe my face with witch hazel toner (Dickinson's). My skin feels very soft and supple...and very healthy. It removes all traces of dirt and oil, and eye makeup (even annoying mascara) comes off with ease. I feel no need to moisturize again, as this does add back moisture to your skin. I still have a little jar of the classic cold cream that I use on my hands and elbows, and occasionally on my undereye area. It meets every claim.. I can't say enough about it. I would recommend the cucumber version to those with combination, oily or breakout prone skin, as it is much (MUCH) lighter than the original version and is formulated for most skin types. Try it, you'll probably love it as much as I do! I tried the cucumber cream after reading the reviews and I had a dry patch on my skin that reappeared after using this. Also, it doesn't leave my with that glow as the original cream does. I do like the creamy texture and the fact that it's not as greasy as the original but I guess that's why the original works better. I think I'll use this in the AM and the original in the PM until it's all gone but I won't buy again. And I must say, this one is the BEST overall. It works. It smells great. It leaves the face feeling gentle. It is not expensive and you get plenty of product for how much you pay! This does the job gently, cleans beautifully with no residue or grease. Hard to find in my neighborhood stores (not sure why). It handles two issues with my skin (sensitivity and dryness) and does not cause flaking or redness, even when my skin breaks-out. I have searched years for this type of cleanser. Lately I've had trouble finding it in drugstores. All I'm finding is the original Ponds Cold cream which is too thick and greasy for me. I was so happy to find Drugstore.com carries it and immediately ordered it. I can't think of anything bad about it. The light scent is appealing and it doesn't smell like cucumbers which I hate! I should have known, because the first ingredient is water vs. mineral oil. It's thinner than the other cleanser ~ so thin it's runny. I don't use it to remove eye makeup, so I cannot comment on whether or not it works. It does leave the same great feeling as the other cleanser, that's the only positive I could find.
