I have been using Pond's Cold Cream for over 50 years as a facial cleanser instead of soap and water and my skin is smooth and clean. Everyone says I look 10 to 15 years younger than my age of 67. I wouldn't use anything else. Great results.

You want to smooth this over your face and massage around your eyes to really get your makeup to loosen - including waterproof mascara. Then remove with a washcloth and hot water. I thought that this would be so greasy that I wouldn't be able to stand it - my skin is NOT dry, just average - but in reality, my breakouts have lessened to almost nothing and my skin feels fantastic all the time. No wonder our grandomthers all swore by this stuff!

Although this does remove makeup, it leaves a horrible grease slick on my skin which can only be removed - and not fully - with a gel cleanser.

I have been using Ponds since I was 13 and I am 66 and people say I look 45. I never use soap to irritate my skin,as it will dry it out. I have always used Pond's Cleanser and it removes make-up and dirt great. It keeps my skin very soft.

The product is called Cold Cream - therefore do not use hot water, warm water or toner to remove it - as it will only make your face greasy. The best way to remove is with a tissue or soft cloth - cleanser can be used after product is wiped off. A small amount goes a long way - I place a small dab on my face, work it in and wipe gently with a dry cloth. Leaves my skin soft, supple and removes all makeup like magic. I've been told by professionals that my skin is in great condition. The smell always brings me back to my childhood - you either like it or hate it. Doesn't make it bad for everyone. When used as recommended this is a great product!

I have been searching for a replacement for my long standby, Clinique Extremely Gentle Cleansing Cream, which has been discontinued, and finally I have found something that comes close in terms of removing mascara and leaving lashes and eye area moisturized and ready for the next day's application of mascara. Other make-up removers leave lashes and surrounding area too dry. This works very well.

Because of all the positive reviews I thought I would give it a try, well I regret it. I have not owned many makeup removers, but I know for a fact you do not need to use a GOOD makeup remover more than once or twice to get all of your makeup off. I had to use this 3 times in a row and it still didn't remove all of my makeup. If it has trouble removing just eyeliner, mascara, blush, and lipstick, I doubt it does a good job of removing a full face of makeup. Not only does it do a poor job, but it leaves a thick greasy residue on my face. Just wiping my face wouldn't get it all off, so I had to wash my face with a very sudsy soap. It took 3 times washing my face and scrubbing it with a wash cloth just to get this gunk off. I guess I could say this would be great for people with very dry and sensitive skin that can take all that grease, but because of how ineffective it is I'm not going to. My skin is a little on the dry side and it was still way too greasy for me.

I use to remove eye makeup, works great. It's not expensive and lasts a long time.
