I buy this for my son, who is starting that boy-to-man phase, which is difficult to keep clean and pleasant-smelling. He just wanted shampoo that smelled nice, and I just wanted his hair to be clean. Prell is basic, gender neutral, decent priced, well fragranced, effective.

I bought this product because after having my hair colored, it looked like... well... like I just had my hair dyed. Very unnatural! Yuk! After using this shampoo daily for about a week, my hair looked natural again. It somehow got rid of the extra dye my hair soaked up, yet didn't strip my hair of it's moisture or shine. Seriously a wonder product! As a total product junkie, I have used many, many high end, expensive brands (Ojon, Phyton, DHC, Fekkai, Origins). These are great products that I switch between when the mood strikes me... need a little moisture here, a little volume there... but I ALWAYS have Prell on hand, and I use it more than any of the expensive brands. It just works for my straight, fine hair. My hair is clean, shiny, healthy and manageable...everything I want! And only [$] a bottle? Maybe I shouldn't say it outloud, but I'd pay 3 times that. Just sayin. :) [...] I never want to be without it.

Prell shampoo has always been a great product since it's introduction by Proctor & Gamble in 1947. I have liked Prell since I was a kid. My family used prell all the time when we were growing up. Prell was extremely popular in the 60's & 70's. Prell is impossible to find in stores these days. I am glad I am able to order it on-line. I really like Prell shampoo.[$]I guess this high cost is due to low sales volume etc...

Tried Prell again after 30 years of the hype of other shampoos.
Glad I did. The smell is pleasant but not strong or overpowering.
My hair still feesl clean and soft the next day, even though I am a daily shampooer
The container is easy open top which I can prop open on the rack which hangs on my shower without opening it every day when I'm half asleep.
The color is refreshing. Easy to rinse. Don't have to use tons of shampoo to do the trick. The price is right. Can't find Prell shampoo except at drugstore.com.

I grew up using Prell and loved it. I love the smell and was so happy to find it again because it always made my hair so shiny and clean. I was disappointed because while my hair felt clean, there was not that shine I used to get from Prell. Might just be that I am older and my hair just doesn't shine like it used to.

The best shampoo ever.The only shampoo that allows me to skip a day from washing my hair and still feel clean and fresh.According to alot of beauticians washing your hair every othe day is better for the well being of your hair then washing it every day.This is because washing your hair every day strips your scalp of the natural oils needed to maintain a perfect ph balance.I have tried going a day without washing my hair but would feel unfresh and unclean.I use to have an oily scalp with dry hair.After using Prell my hair is perfect now.I wash my hair every other day to allow the natural oils to moisturize my scalp.If you have long hair and use Prell you will need to use some kind of detangler.Just a litte spritz of detangler on your hair will do.I gave up on conditioners.I could never find one to suit me.If you have short hair then you are good to go.I have no idea why Prell is so hard to find at stores.All the other stuff is mostly watered down,heavily perfumed,loaded with oils,junk.

Great product! Use the "Classic" version. Use it everyday and get great results. Leaves all hair with body and smelling great.
