Most Liked Positive Review My 65 year old husband ... My 65 year old husband was told by the eye doctor that he had the beginnings of macular degeneration. I got on the net and found this formula and he took it for a couple weeks. He went to a specialist who did his lens replacements and the doctor said, "that's strange; your chart says you have macular degeneration and it's not there. Have you been taking something?" and my husband told him about the Preservision and the doctor said, "It's the best." That's all he'd say. And my husband is diabetic! Have been taking for over a year, but unfortunatly when I placed this order I didn't notice that I was ordering the type that requires 2 tablets 2 times per day. I find the Areds soft gel formula easier to deal with, as the dosage is only 2 per day. I'll be sure to order that formula in the future. It was my own error; I didn't read the description on drugstore.com adequately prior to placing my order. Was recommended by eye specialist. I am only 41 but my family has a history of MD. He said taking one a day will almost guarantee me to not get this horrible disease. My mom's eye doctor is the one who highly recommends Preservision brand over all others. Check the ingredients, it does have a lot more of each vitamin/mineral. The vitamins are baulky to take but very effective and I noticed an improvement to my eye sight within 2 weeks. I take 2 vitamins twice a day. As an added feature by buying them form drugstore.com a got them at a very fair price compared to if I had to purchase the vitamins locally. My friend's doctor recommended so I thought I would try it too. I think next time I will get the softgels, as they will be easier to swallow. Since I've never noticed a problem with my eyes, I cannot tell a difference since I began taking these tablets months ago. The softgels are a bit smaller and may be easier for some to swallow. I don't have a very strong prescription, but my vision has been getting progressively worse my whole life (I'm in my mid 20s now).
