When I got this, I washed my face as usual with a microfiber cloth and my cleanser. Then I used the Pretika and WOW I was SHOCKED at how much makeup and gunk was left on my face, that I didn't even realize was there! The brush head was beige from all the left over stuff on my face, it grossed me out to think that I'd been leaving that film on my face for years, no wonder I was breaking out! Since I purchased this, my pores are smaller, my face is cleaner and I have had a lot less breakouts. It really makes my skin smooth too. I haven't had any problems with the device holding a charge and I was happy it came with an extra brush head. Another bonus is it has 2 settings high/low, I use high but if you have sensitive skin the low might work better for you. I would definately recommend this and repurchase it if it broke!

I have been using this for about a month now and I love it. My husband commented on how clear my skin is just the other day. I read about problems charging it but I have not had any. I charged it the first time all the way and let it deplete each time before charging again.

I use mine twice a day but I have really oily skin and I can see how that might be too much for some.

I was concerned about buying it, but I gave it a try and do not regret it. The brush is cordless and comes with two same heads that easy to replace. It may be a little bit harsh if you press too much, but it still wouldn't harm in any way. If you would like to try a sonic brush and don't want to spent to much, this is a good option. I feel that my skin is very clean and fresh, but not over-dried. To test how well it cleans I took a toner with alcohol (that usually reveals how much makeup left after the regular makeup remover) and swab the face. The cotton ball was clean after; therefore, I am satisfied with how it cleans. After several days I realized that dry patches and red irritations disappeared, it didn't do anything about the pores or fine lines, but it certainly exfoliates the dead cells,so we'll see. My husband also loves it, he has a very oily skin and I can see an improvement of his skin texture along with reduced breakouts. I use it every day with ole henriksen cleanser when wash my face and sometimes in the shower. But don't expect it to be used in shower on everyday basis because heads are too small and it will take you forever to wash all your body.

I use this product in the morning and evening, with either a cream or acne fighting cleanser. I've always had flaky skin, and this product complete exfoliates all of the dead skin. My skin also feels much smoother and softer, and products are better absorbed into my skin. I'm still battling acne, but my scars are healing quicker, and I think that new pimples are less likely to form because the acne fighting products I use are sinking deeper into my skin. Overall, I love this brush and I will be using it for a long time! Even though I have skin that reddens easily with touch, my skin bounces back from this brush very quickly.

I bought this and decided that I would put it to the test and see how well it really works. I always wash my face twice, using a microfiber cloth and Aveeno skin clearing foam. After, I had done my usual routine, I put some of the Aveeno on the brush head and proceeded to wash my face using the Pretika. I was SHOCKED at the results..the foam turned beige from the left over makeup on my face!! After I finished cleaning with the Pretika, my face was smoother and definately cleaner than it has been in years!!! After that, I was SOLD on this product. The brush head can be a bit harsh if you have sensitive skin, then I'd recommend using a light touch and the low setting. If you have normal skin, I don't think you'd have a problem using the high setting. This is definately a product I would order again. Great results, great price..what more could you ask for?

I purchased the Pretika Dermabrasion Brush Kit and was very happy with its results. Unfortunateley, the product ceased to function properly well past the 30 day warranty. And now it can not be replaced by Drugstore.com or the Pretika Co. Heads-up on this product.

I have had acne ever since I was a teenager. A few years ago I found a product called Acnefree and it cleared my acne up completely. Although it says to use twice a day, I only use it once a day because it was too drying for my skin. The Pretika Sonic Microdermabrasion has not only helped with the dry patches, but it has helped make the pock marks left from the acne appear to fade. I, like others who have reviewed this little machine, feel that the products applied to the skin are better absorbed and work more effectively. My skin is not only acne free, but is soft and smooth to touch, My makeup seems to just glide on now.

First off, I will get this out of the way: I have nothing negative to say about this purchase. This is a great appliance and I am very pleased w/its performance (so far) and am so glad I finally decided to buy a sonic-facial cleanser.

After months and months of putting off my purchase of Pretika's far more expensive competitor (I'm really into brand names-shoot me), and then a couple more months of putting off my purchase of Pretika's competitor's less-expensive, but still pricey, smaller/travel-version, I finally decided to purchase the Pretika. The decision was made while shopping for replacement brush-heads: compared to its pricier doppelganger, for HALF the price of a package of its competitor's replacement brushes, you'll get TWICE as many replacement brushes for the Pretika (they snap-on), which is very important in terms of performance and sanitary reasons.

Mind you, I've only used it 2x day for a week or so, but I can already tell that this relatively small investment will stand the test of time if cared for per instructions. Both warantees for the Pretika and its competitor are the same, so I figured IF this one busts, I can buy another THREE Pretika's and still have spent less money than on ONE of its competitor, which will be highly unlikely at the rate of its performance so far.

I haven't changed my cleansing routine in terms of products used. The only thing that's changed is that the amount of product used/needed post-sonic-cleansing is less than w/cleansing by hand b/c the skin does indeed accept/absorb products more efficiently, just like the appliance promises. I've been using it to apply my PTR Oxygen Detox Masque and the difference between applying by hand and applying w/sonic-brush is amazing. I use far less product (which is great b/c it's expensive) and it actually "works" - before, I didn't really notice a difference. After I rinse, and apply my moiturizers, they all just sink/melt into my skin so easily...it really makes me wonder how much gunk was blocking the way such that I had to massage all my moisturizers into my skin.

I've always felt positive that I'd age gracefully. This gadget will certainly help me along the way.
