Got it out of the box, first tried to use the smaller lint brush. It didn't want to go in the vent, then once it was in and you move it around a bit, you MIGHT get a few pieces of lint out. The wire on the handle is way to limber and doesn't allow you to control it. So I decided to try the vacuum attachment and it was too big to fit my hose attachment, so that didn't work. Then I tried my other vacuum, same thing, too big for the hose. Finally decided to duck tape it to the hose. Well it went down in the vent, but it sucked maybe a teaspoon of lint out. We haven't used the main dryer outside vent brush, but first off my husband said the brush was way too little and probably won't get anything out of the pipe as the pipe is way bigger and much longer than the brush will reach. Our vent is run through the ceiling so you would have to go outside to try it anyway. I WOULD NOT recommend this to anyone!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
