As a pain reliever it works fine and fast but it takes a while to get you to sleep. Once you get to sleep it helps keep you asleep.

I started using this after ACL reconstruction surgery to wean myself off the harder stuff and try to get a good night's sleep. It works - but I can only take one pill. Even then, it makes me groggy in the morning. If I take 2, I'm totally wiped out for a good part of the day. It does what it's supposed to, but I not recommend for long term use.

These kept me asleep...

I bought this to use on a 10 hour plane ride. I usually have a horrible time sleeping on planes, and this did not seem to help. But, since then I have used it for occasional sleeplessness and times where I have been waking up in the night often and need to get a good nights sleep. I take them a 1/2 hour before bed, I seem to go to sleep at the same rate, and I sleep all night, no tossing and turning or waking up. BUT, I feel like a zombie the next day, at least until noon. This is after 8 full hours of sleep. I would not recommend it if you are going to sleep less than 8 hours (as the product also suggests) but it could serve a purpose if you can sleep in or don't have many mental responsibilities the next day. I have since started using a homeopathic remedy (also sold on this site) that works just enough to keep me asleep but have no side effects in the morning.
