My druggist recommended equalactin to me when I had diarrhea from chemotherapy treatments. Equalactin works at the cause of your diarrhea OR constipation by increasing or decreasing the amount of water in your bowel, as opposed to Immodium, which just stops the bowel from eliminating. This worked from me, and I even recommended it to my oncologist. Been 4 years now! Worth a try! Good Luck, and God Bless !! My husband suffers from a form of IBS. He has tried everything on the market, has taken blood tests and numerous doctor visits, doctors really can't figure out what his problem is. He can get hit with the pain and need to go to the bathroom at any time, usually when he eats something that doesn't agree with him, but we haven't found the source of what the problem is. Equalactin has proven to be the ONLY thing that works. And he has tried EVERYTHING. What's sad is that other than drugstore.com, the only other place that sells it locally is Sav-On drugstore. I definitely buy it through drugstore.com, because I receive drugstore dollars that I can use for future purchases. Thanks! Try this product, you'll love it.

I have been suffering from IBS for too many years. I tried Equalactin about 6 months ago and have used it ever since. The best time for me is with breakfast (I take two) and then in the afternoon when I start to feel hungry but am unable to eat. Always take it with a large glass of water. The gas and bloating will be reduced, if not eliminated, almost immediately. It has helped me eat foods I couldn't eat before. It has the exact same ingredients as Fibercon but Equalactin needs to be chewed and I think this makes the different. I'm going to stock up on it!

This product had no effect on my IBS at all. In fact, I had really bad episode while taking this medication. I would not recommend this product or purchase it again.

These are the best solution for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other irregularities of the digestive system. I've had IBS for my entire life and am also lactose intolerant and have problems with several other foods. My dosage has been 2 per day, taken together with water, in the morning right when I wake up. In my opinion, Equalactin is not equivalent to Fiber supplements, so other products that help with IBS via fiber supplementation are not the same as Equalactin. My gastroenterologist suggested I take Equalactin for dealing with my IBS symptoms and also suggested I digest more fiber. Extra fiber helps a lot, but don't think that if you take a drug for extra fiber it will work the same way as Equalactin. Try EqualActin and start living again!

I've had irritable bowel syndrome for quite a few years now, and on top of that I am allergic to cheese. I've tried every prescription out there, and none of them compare to how well these nasty little tablets work. I can now eat what I want without the worry of having all the symptoms I used to suffer. They taste horrible (but you get used to them) and they're expensive, but well worth it, at least for me. I usually take between 3-5 of them just before I eat, depending on what type of dairy it is. I had to experiment a little with the dosage, but once I got it, it works great! I've been using these for over 2 years now, and will continue to use them as long as they're on the market.

I just recently became an IBS sufferer, and after doing much research for home treatment, came across this product and purchased it today. Within an hour, I had a noticeable difference, and for the first time in almost a month, my stool seemed normal, instead of like diarrhea. I still have a tiny bit of gas/bloating, but not nearly as bothersome as previous days. I would recommend this product to anyone that's looking for a home treatment for IBS.
