I love this stuff. It took me a long time to find one that worked for my baby, I tried them all. This one works great. It clears the rash right up. I don't find the smell to be unpleasant. It lasts, its still on her skin the next time I change her diaper. I have found one other that also works great made by Canus li'l goats milk. Both have 40% zinc oxide. I switch back and forth between the two.

I switched to this cream after A & D failed to clear up my son's diaper rash after 3 weeks of use. His rash cleared up in 3 days with Desitin. I guess every baby's skin is different and this might not work for everyone, but I found it extremely effective.

I've used this product on my children, and now my grandchildren. I highly recommend this to any new mother, and often include a tube with my baby shower gifts. It is extremely effective for the prevention of diaper rashes.

I really wanted to like this because of its 40% zinc oxide content. However, the odor of the Cod Liver Oil is incredibly unpleasant and made me gag. This is especially disappointing because the list of ingredients still includes 'fragrance', so it has a bad fishy smell plus potentially irritating perfume. If, like me, you only want a baby ointment for prevention of rashes, you may want to steer clear of this one.

Simply the all-time best diaper rash treatment! 4x as much zinc oxide as any of the other brands. I've been using it since I was born. My mother used it on me; I've used it on myself, my husband, and my children. Out-performs A&D and Balmex every time.

The ointment wasn't greasy, like so many other products. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a fast-acting medication for diaper rash or any scratch on the body.

Desitin has worked better to treat and prevent diaper rash on my two children than any other diaper rash product. I've heard great things about Balmex, but it took longer to treat diaper rash on my daughter. The only thing I don't like is that the Desitin is a little bit hard to wipe off. However, Desitin works great and I'll use it again and recommend it to friends and family.

Desitin is a wonderful product. My 21-month-old son who's still in diapers needs a product that'll protect his little bottom. We used Desitin the first day -- his rash went away almost instantly. We love the ease of a tube, flip-top lid -- someday it would be nice if I didn't have to use my hands to smear it on -- maybe a spray of some sort? Otherwise, this product is awesome!

I've tried the Desitin Creamy before and didn't really like the way it covered my daughter's diaper area. But this Original Desitin ointment covered it much better and really helped her diaper rash to heal. I also liked that it was easier to wipe off when changing diapers. I'd purchase this product again.
