The only "con" is that it bleach clothing if you accidentally get it on a spot. But, it has saved my daughter from extreme discomfort. No other products works as well and it is not necessary to apply anything else. The original formula has more zinc oxide than the creamy and it works much more effectively.

This product smells so disgusting that I had to get a soapy washcloth to wipe it all off. Then, I had to throw both the washcloth and the dry towel into the laundry because the smell on those was so pungent. I threw the Desitin tube out in the outside garbage can so the smell wouldn't seep out into my house. Your baby can't complain about such a thing - why would anyone inflict that on a tiny nose?

I have used the product faithfully with 2 children and have never had problems with diaper rash. I slather this on every night and it is still there in the morning regardless how messy the diaper is. I have tried other products only to be let down by their thin consistency and lack of staying power. Believe me, there is a reason why you go into a store and find this product sold out. Yes, it is hard to remove the product, but for the protection and comfort it provides, it is well worth the extra clean-up effort. Nothing can beat the Regular Desitin.

My daughter has the most pale, sensitive skin and I have tried EVERYTHING to prevent diaper rash. Her rashes are brutally red and sometimes the skin even blisters. She screams like mad at every diaper change and it's been awful. I tried Balmex, Aquaphor, Vushion by perscription and many other but this Desitin was the ONLY cream that kept the rash from occuring and if it had occured it was the only thing to help it heal. I apply a lot of it so you literally can't see her skin through the layer of cream but it does the trick. The smell is very chemical but honestly, who cares if it solves the problem. I recommend this highly to anyone whose child suffers from bad diaper rash. It helps enormously.

This also works great for older boys when they have minor skin cracks or irritation in the bottom area during hot months from bike riding, perspiration, or playing sports. My 9-year-old son says it's the only thing that gives relief. It is waterproof, and usually clears up the problem in 48 hours. Consult a doctor before girls use it.

Not only did it work great as the best diaper rash cream EVER, it is the GREATEST cream for cracked, sore hands. If you put it on @ bedtime, you'll wake up w/"healed" hands!!! Once I hurt my skin using hair removal lotion and this soothed the sore skin. Love this stuff and will never be without it!
