Mother's Friend is a wonderful product. My husband's co-worker recommended it when I was pregnant with my first child (she had used it and never had a stretch mark). It worked as well as she said. I have now used it throughout all 3 of my pregnancies, and highly recommend it to all my friends!

Unlike many other reviewers, it's not the smell that I don't like about this product. It's the fact that it really dries out my skin! Who would have thought an oil would dry me out? Well when I read the ingredients it turns out there is alcohol in this oil. So it seems to be moisturizing at first, but wait a day and your skin will start to peel. At least, mine did. Very disappointing.

I love this product! My mother used it and never had a single stretch mark... other women in our family have gotten stretch marks, so I am pretty sure they do run in our family. The smell is not that bad, I think it smells good actually, but who knows, it could be my odd hormones right now. This is an oil product, and I am VERY prone to acne breakouts, but I have not had any while using this product. I have used it on my tummy, legs, arms, chest, pretty much anywhere I can reach. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

About twenty years ago, I knew a woman who was having her 100th birthday. Her skin was fabulous. I asked her daughter what she used. She had used Mothers Friend when she was pregnant to prevent stretch marks, but she had also used it on her face for over sixty years since then. I took her advice and have used it on my face for the past twenty years. I put it on at night and again after my shower in the morning. I even mix a little with my liquid makeup to prevent that dry feeling. It is wonderful! I often have people ask what I do to keep my great skin and I always refer them to Mothers Friend.

I have been using this and have gotten stretch marks. It is not a lotion it is an oil, and it smells like insect repellant. Plus the bottle is really small, not worth the price. Maybe the women who have not gotten any stretch marks are the women who naturally would never get them anyway.

My mom used this same lotion when she was pregnant with my brother and myself (I'm 31 and he's 25). She has no stretch marks. That alone gives me the confidence that this is the best product for me during my pregnancy.

I think that this stuff works great! I'm 8 months pregnant and I've only been using it for a week and it has reduced the appearance of the more recent stretch marks on my body, but I still have yet to see the improvement on the more noticeable and older ones. I recommend this product to mothers who would like to prevent stretch marks or reduce the appearance of them.

My mother used this when she was pregnant with me and my brother, and no stretch marks! When my sister in law got pregnant, we searched high and low to find it for her. Now we are both pregnant (she is 30 weeks and I am 20), and so far no stretch marks for either of us. I will say that to combat the smell and texture I put it on right after my shower, rub it in good and follow it up with my favorite body lotion on top. This seems to get rid of the smell and the greasiness.

When I was a little girl I noticed my mother having stretch marks. She always told me that had she used this product she would not have had them. Well, my sister did not listen and did not use this product...it was too much of a hassle. She had stretch marks as well. When I was 25 I got pregnant with my first child. I used it daily. I do not have one stretch mark from my pregnancy and my baby was 9lbs and 7oz. I am now pregnant again and using this product. I hope that I am as lucky this time.

I have had 3 children and have used this product every time. The first time was in 1965, the last time 1982 with my "surprise" package. I do not have one stretch mark from child bearing or nursing. I can't say enough about this product and am so glad I was able to find it for my daughter who is going to have her first child. I could not find it in any store and am thankful I found it on this site.
