This oil doesn't smell so good, but it was tolerable. I used it for two days straight twice a day and got a really bad rash on my tummy where I am trying to prevent some pregnancy stretch marks. Tiny little red spots everywhere that really itched! I stopped using this product and went back to what I was using before and the rash and itchiness went away almost instantly. I am 28 weeks along and do not yet have any stretch marks and I am trying to keep it that way, but it seems that this product is more irritating than it is helpful.

This item is more like an oil, not a lotion. However, I used it at a young age of 17 years old. I was a teen with no stretch marks and wanted to keep it that way after delivery of my first child. It worked! When I was 25 years old; I had my second child and used it again during and after my pregnancy, and it worked! Now my daughter is pregnant with her first child, and I cannot find this product anywhere! I ended up ordering it through our local drug store. I have to agree the smell is yucky, but what we do for beauty! I highly recommend this product.

I am in my 3rd pregnancy and I am thrilled to see this product is still available! I used it with my other two pregnancies and did not get one stretch mark. This time, I am pregnant with twins, and am confident I will not be getting any stretch marks. This product is the BEST!!!

I did not like this at all. I have used it every day of my pregnancy (I am 15 weeks now) and it has done nothing to prevent or fade stretch marks, plus the smell is disgusting. I would not recommend this product to anyone. It seems to have gotten a lot of positive reviews, so I guess it is great for some people and not for others.

My relative is pregnant and I was so happy to learn this great product is still available. I used this "Mothers Friend" years ago twice daily and I didn't have any stretch marks. It became a great ritual each evening to relax and use this product. I was a tiny young girl and my stomach got really big, and I was so concerned that I would get stretch marks as most people did. I am happy to say, I still have no marks years later. I highly recommend this for any new mom to be. I am just happy I can share this info with my relative and others.

I really like this stuff! I was using a Mustella stretch mark product from when I was about 12 weeks. At around 20 weeks, I started seeing the beginning of new marks (had some old marks from weight gain before). I decided to switch to Mother's Friend and Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion and I have to say that the itching and "tight" feeling stopped since I started using it 2x a day. Also, I'm not seeing any new marks appear so far and the ones that I just got are a little less red. I'm only 24 weeks (with twins!) now, so hopefully it will continue to keep my skin elastic. Although getting no marks at the end would be great, I am more concerned with not getting itchy and tight again, that drove me nuts!

I started using this on my belly when I was 5 months pregnant and just starting to show. I loved the smell and I did not get any stretch marks even though I was HUGE. I should have used on my breasts as well, because I did wind up getting stretch marks there. This stuff is wonderful and a lot better than the Palmers Cocoa Butter cream. I would highly recommend it to any pregnant friend.

I used this product 15 years ago when I had my first child and did not get a single stretch mark. I used cocoa butter with my second child since I was not able to find Mothers Friend locally and got TOO many stretch marks. My youngest sister is pregnant and thankfully I can get this for her on-line.

I don't think I like this product. I have not used it long enough to say it works. But I do know I did not like the smell (smells like menthol cigarettes mixed with Ben Gay). I immediately had to wash it off because I could not sleep with it on. This product is not a lotion it is an oil, which I also do not like - I break out using oil. Maybe if my other creams do not work, I will give this one another shot because so many other people said it prevented the stretch marks, but for now I will take my chances.

Initially I did not like the smell of this product, and used cocoa butter instead. I developed approximately 7 stretch marks. However once it started using this product every day, I did not develop any additional stretch marks on my tummy. I do have a few stretch marks on my buttocks and hips, but I think that has to do with weight gain. I have gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy, but this product is wonderful.
