This mascara clumped my lashed together from just one coat and had a runny texture. It also flaked after a few hours. Would not buy again.

Maybelline makes some fabulous mascaras...this is definitely NOT one of them. My Mom used this stuff in the 60's and it hasn't changed since then (and everybody wore big, thick false eyelashes anyway, so it didn't matter). This mascara smears like crazy and basically just "tints" them- no length, no thickness. If you want to try a great, modern mascara, try Maybelline's VOLUM' EXPRESS. Don't waste your money on this one.

This is the worst mascara I have used to date. It clumped, it gooped all of my lashes together, and although I thought the brush would create a discreet day-look, it didnt. The mascara spread like crazy and caused irritation. I would never buy this product again, but Maybelline's other mascaras seem all right.

This is a mediocre mascara. There are others far better than this. It clumped the more you applied, and it didn't lengthen, separate, and thicken as much as I thought it would. It smudges and flakes really easily, and it irritated my sensitive eyes. Plus, its brush is difficult to use! The bristles are spread out way too much, so if you apply it a little to close to your eyelid, it leaves dark little dots. The good thing about it is the nice, smooth pitch-black color. If you want to use this, only apply one or two coats, because more will cause it to clump. I guess it isn't that bad for the price, but I don't think I will buy this again.

It perplexes me that this mascara is continually nominated for "best product" by many beauty and fashion magazines. It clumps, flakes, and won't hold a curl. Maybelline makes so many good mascaras (try Full 'N Soft or Voluum Express if you want to be "wowed" by a drugstore mascara) that don't get recognized. This one just doesn't live up to the hype.

This product stinks. It does nothing but clump, and the wand isn't even thick enough. This is my least favorite of all mascaras I have ever tried.

The mascara goes on very nicely and didn't clump at all. It had a much smoother and nicer application than any other mascara I've used. The drawback of this mascara is it smudges. I tend to have oily skin, so that probably doesn't help- but if I rubbed my eyes at all (even hours later), I had instant raccoon eyes. It does go on very nicely and cleans up and removes easily. If you are prone to tears, touch your eyes, or have oily skin (maybe powder will help), this may not be for you.

Just my honest opinion, but this is absolutely my least favorite mascara in the world. If you really want a nasty, globby, flakey, fake looking mess on your eyes, that makes your eyes itch too, please get this product. If not, please get a L'Oreal mascara - they have several excellent formulas - instead. I have no idea why people pick this product as a 'favorite' because for me it does not work at all.

I thought this was an average mascara. It didn't seem to lengthen and curl my lashes as much as some others I've used before. This is a mascara that I would probably use more for daytime use than for evening. It didn't seem to accentuate my eyes as much as others do

I liked the way the mascara helped make my lashes look longer and fuller. Also, it didn't smear and washed off well at nighttime. I would recommend it and am going to look for it in other colors. It's a quality product and I will be using it regularly.
