Cons: Clumps, Fades, Smudges

Bottom Line: not recommended

I bought this mascara one day because Vanessa Hudgens said she wore it and it looked good in the magazine. Its the worst mascara ive ever used, it clumps and flakes, giving me racoon eyes everytime. I know this mascara is really popular & for some reason has a good reputation, but it is far from good mascara in my book. It has no special qualities or pros, and I find it hard to apply and wash off, plus it flakes later in the day. I'm not impressed. There are other mascaras that do MUCH better and are worth using (Maybelline Lash Stylist, L'Oreal Lash Architect, DiorShow Backstage Mascara).

I LOVE THIS STUFF!! I couldn't live without it. I don't understand all the bad reviews on it? I find that my lashes look dozens of times longer and thicker and there's minimal clumping, no fall out what-so-ever, it doesn't smudge and I never have black stuff under my eyes like some mascara's can give you. I do recommend you try this for yourself at least once; maybe you'll be one of the (apparent) few who take a liking to it.

I'm not sure why this mascara gets such great reviews. I've tried it recently and also a couple years ago and it just doesn't do anything for me. The wand isn't great, it doesn't really add volume to lashes, and it isn't really clump free. It's just basic boring mascara that doesn't do anything special. There are much better products out there!

I'd tried Great Lash years and years ago. It made my eyelids break out in a rash with the first use. Somehow I managed to forget this incident and bought a tube on sale last week. Guess what? Yep. Red, swollen and itchy eyelids. I've used a zillion other brands of mascara over the past 30 years and have never had this happen, except with Great Lash. Believe me, I'll remember next time I reach for that "bargain".

I love this mascara... not sure if it's because of the adorable bright colored tubes, or because of nostalgic reasons (I grew up wearing this mascara). Whatever it is, it's the only mascara I use (and I have bought a million different brands), it won't give you a false-eyelash look, but it does thicken and darken the lashes, which is all I need. I hope Maybelline never stops making this, or changes the lovely bright colored packaging

I LOVE this mascara. I have used it for years and every time I have tried a different brand or the "next new revolutionary" mascara, I am always very disappointed. I have pretty thick long eyelashes and I love how much thicker and longer this mascara makes them look without clumping.

It is very black, but I had to put several coats on before you could even tell I had any on. For most of us, several coats mean too much time spent & clumps. I LOVED this mascara many years ago while in high school and college, but they have apparently changed the formula. I don't wear makeup every day, but fairly often and it irritated my eyes as well.

I initially bought the product because it was cheap and I am a college student on a tight budget. Less than two days ago I put on the mascara and noticed my eye lashes were a bit more black... until last night my eyes started to itch mildly and this morning I woke up to having a rash on each eye. It is not hypoallergenic and word of advice, cheap is what youre going to get.
