This is the greatest mascara I have ever used for 37 years. I cannot understand everyone that reviewed it giving such a poor rating. I am an individual woman who has used many mascara products. This is a terrible, terrible mascara. I don't know, usually I am quite good at putting mascara on, but this stuff gets all over my face, even after I have let it dry. The brush is too tiny, and it is very liquid-y. I have no idea why it's called the #1 mascara. :/

I love this mascara! It works really well. It gives me perfect movie star lashes and all of my friends use it. Its only flaw is that it is a little bit clumpy, but this does make my lashes full and thick.

This mascara is very liquid-y and runny, but it does go on easily and doesn't clump. I had to apply it very slowly and carefully so that it will lengthen my lashes. I agree that it smudges very easily so I try not to rub my eyes. It is washable so it's easy to remove and it comes off quickly.

It goes on clumpy, and it runs. In a couple hours, I have to continually run a tissue under my eyes throughout the day. I quit applying to my lower lashes, but it still runs. I'm afraid to try other Maybelline mascaras. For me, it's best to spring the extra bucks for Clinique's Naturally Glossy Mascara. I've yet to find an inexpensive drugstore replacement.

I agree with the reviewers who say this mascara gets more hype than it's worth. It's great for a natural look, as it does not clump or glob but rather tints your lashes. It actually performs very similarly to Clinique's Naturally Glossy mascara for a third of the cost, so if you like a product that gives your lashes color but does not do much in the way of curling, thickening, or lengthening your lashes, give this a try. However, if you want thick, full lashes I suggest the Full and Soft mascara.
