Indications
For the temporary relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies, and nasal congestion associated with sinusitis. Helps decongest sinus openings and passages; temporarily relieves sinus congestion and pressure. Temporarily restores freer breathing through the nose.

Drug Interaction Precautions
Do not use this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before taking this product.

Warnings

I have really bad sinus problems, as well as seasonal allergies. I live in the South where the humidity also wreaks havoc on some folks' sinuses. I have tried many different products, including the PE type. The PE doesn't do anything for my sinuses. This is the real thing and it works. Yes it may hype you up a bit, so use something else at night. I use Vick's sinus spray (it is good for 12 hours). I use this during the day. Most of the time if I get started when I first feel the symptoms coming on, I don't end up at the doctor's office.

Pseudoephedrine is what it is, mildly stimulating (varies by person) and it is a fantastic remedy for those it works for. If it is too stimulating, take less. I weigh over 200 pounds and take just one pill and that is more than enough for me for 3-4 hours of relief. I only take more than 30mg at a time during the worst flus. Although I also use generic, Sudafed brand has the best coating by far.

While this is a good medication to clear up sinus problems and congestion, it left me with a bad case of insomnia. Although I took the medication as directed, just when I thought that I would be able to get a good night's rest for work the next morning after fighting with my sinuses for 5 days, I was unable to sleep AT ALL.

This is definitely a good product (it works), and I prefer this to the generic. For whatever reason, they don't coat the generic brand and it tastes awful. This tastes slightly sweet and so isn't a problem to swallow.
