While I did not buy Certain Dri, I bought a national pharmacy store brand version of it. This was last summer. I tried using it once, and it burned so badly, that I just buried it in my drawer thinking that my skin was too sensitive to use it. But the heavy perspiration continued. And continued. UGH! I've always been a heavy sweater. And sadly, most of my sweating had always stemmed from my own subsconscious; I aways had nervous energy in front of others. It didn't matter if I was in person, on the phone, or even corresponding in emails. As a result of being so self-conscious, I would sweat profusely. I, like many others here, would choose clothing based on color and texture. I, too, would try to hide the kiddie pools, lol, in front of others. I, too, would always perpetuate more sweat because I would be subvocalizing to myself that I must be sweating because I must be embarrassing myself or looking like an idiot (triggering that self-consciousness all over again. Sigh.) Like many of you, I got really TIRED of this cyclical sweaty HELL that I was trapped in. Speed up to two nights ago. Growing more tired of my problem, I gave that bottle a look and something told me to give it a try. I did. And I have not looked back since!! But word of CAUTION- Please do not use more than a few strokes, as you will BURN, ITCH, and may possibly get a TIGHTNESS in the surrounding skin area. Think SUNBURN. And that's what it felt like for me! I put way too much on. And that feeling lingered for almost a whole day. I applied a medicated lotion to the surrounding skin and started getting relief. I now feel back to normal. It's two days later and I have not reapplied the product either. I actually took a shower last night, washed my pits, and the stuff is STILL WORKING!!! Although I feel like I have just typed up a rough draft of a novel, lol, I think it is worth it to help anyone else out there who is struggling with what I did for so long. No one should have to live their lives like that. Remember, use it as directed. You may be able to get away with every other night use, as it's very potent. Good Luck!

Wow! Was going to have surgery for hyper-hydrosis until I discovered this! Now I can wear whatever I want without worries...it does burn a little initially, but it is WORTH IT. I only use it every other day now - mostly at night - and that is all I need. You will not develop a resistance to it like most anti-persp. if you have severe sweating. I cannot praise this enough!!

This is the BEST OTC prescription quality anti-persperant! Honestly, it's the only one that actually works well. I use it every other night and then Old Spice deodorant (not anti+deo) during the day. This product lasts an entended amount of time so it is not necessary for someone to use nightly, unless he has sweating issues. NOTE: do NOT put it onto freshly cleansed skin as it will BURN (!!).

I bought this and put it on as soon as I got home. Its been a few hours and there is no sweating under my arms whatsoever. Yay! But what I didn't realize, even though I read the pamphlet that said "may ruin clothes", is that a few drops fell onto my ~sweat~pants, the irony right? Well, It bleached them everywhere it landed. :( They were a totally cute pair of VS sweatpants too. Oh well, learned my lesson. Better on sweatpants than something really nice. Be very careful when you put it on so you don't ruin anything!!!

I tried this product because I was desperate. I have been a excessive sweater since high school. I've had so many embarrassing moments and ruined so many shirts that I finally started researching what I could do about it online. I found this and thought I'd give it a try. I bought it for $4.32 at [...] and tried it the first night. I was cured!! I haven't been sweating since. I can hardly believe it! I didn't put it on again for 4 days. This stuff is seriously a miracle!! I highly recommend it for anyone for with excessive sweating issues. Make sure to follow the directions. You don't need much and I don't need it every night either. I'd give this 10 stars if I could.

First, let me say that I have sensitive skin. If 1 is tough and 5 is If-you-look-at-me-I'll-break-out skin, I'm a 3-1/2 to 4. That being said, I love this stuff! It's amazing. The trick to avoid the sting is to not apply it within several hours of shaving. This is the only time that Certain Dri stings/irritates. Otherwise, I put it on at night after my evening shower, just before bed. In the a.m., I apply my "regular" anti-p./deodorant. I'm a cyclist in a very hot and humid city. I've noticed that I no longer reek when I am done with a two-hour ride. I smell like a sweaty person but not a like a hairy guy who hasn't showered in a month (I'm a woman). The best thing about this is the wetness control. Even if I happen to sweat a tiny bit, there's no odor. Sometimes, I forget to apply CDri, and I can tell. It does work best if you apply on clean, dry skin at night, though. I'm abut ready to try it on my feet.

I had a terribly embarrassing problem of sweating a TON, it soaked through absolutely anything. It was so embarrassing, and the "clinical strength" deodorants did not work. I tried this and after a few days my problems were solved! The only drawback is that it makes my armpits pretty itchy for about 30 minutes after I put it on. That's annoying but I can't beat the results. Also, I have to make sure I use it at least every couple days to maintain the results (forgetting once isn't a huge problem). I am so glad I can wear what I want now without fear!!!
