Grandpa has some health issues that make it difficult for him to eat all the calories his body needs. Ensure has helped him to remain at his current weight for several months. Grandpa insists that this product tastes odd unless it is thoroughly chilled. He stores the bottles in the refrigerator. Prior to drinking, Grandpa places the bottle in the freezer for about 20 minutes. At this very cold temperature, Grandpa says it tastes fine.
A dietary supplement is only a good idea if it is palatable enough for the person who needs it to consume it. Grandpa says the trick to making this palatable is low temperature.

I love Ensure Plus. They gave it to me in the hospital and I loved the Vanilla. I was disappointed in the Chocolate, maybe because it's either milk chocolate and I've become accustomed to dark chocolate, or maybe it's imitation chocolate, but I would part willingly with my 3 remaining bottles. A warning, however, any flavor can be addictive, and it gets to be an expensive habit because 8 ounces only whets your appetite for more. The strawberry is so-so, I like the color pink. The one besides Vanilla that I like is pecan. I don't need to gain any more weight but I would recommend it as a short-term aid in gaining weight, whatever flavor you like. Just thinking/ writing about it makes me want some (Vanilla). I got up now and had a bottle of the Vanilla and sure enough, now I want another.

My daughter was having a problem keeping weight on this year and as a result was feeling weak. I ordered a few packs of these for her to help her supplement her meals and her weight is more stable and she does not have to worry about not eating while she is on the road - they are easy to carry along and drink anywhere anytime. I have also searched everywhere and this was the one place that had them for a reasonable price. Great value and I recommend.

I use these to gain weight; right after a meal, when I can't eat another bite, I'll drink one of these bottles. It's so easy to knock this stuff down, you'll think you're drinking a shot instead of 8 ounces.

I love chocolate, but prefer the vanilla flavor. This one doesn't really taste chocolately as it it's more medicinal. The vanilla flavor tastes very good.
