by Lyll[Verified Buyer] in New York on 8/11/09
Pros: Easy To Use
Best Uses: Dry Eyes, Sensitive Eyes

Had surgery to correct pressure behind the eye (Pre-glaucoma) and after Rx medications were finished, surgeon recommended this product as one of the best over the counter treatments after laser surgery. Handy ampules.. can keep in purse or pocket at all times.

Pros: Gentle, Great lubricant, Improves Vision
Cons: Difficult To Use
Describe Yourself: Allergy Sufferer, Hate new vial, Have Chronic Dry Eyes, Wear Contacts, Wear Glasses
Best Uses: Dry Eyes, Hate new vial, Long Term Use, Quick Fix, Sensitive Eyes
Bottom Line: not recommended
Great product with ridiculous packaging. I always poke my eye out and irritate it with this tip. I will not purchase it again unless they change it back to the original like the natural lub is. I've hurt myself too many times with this.
TheraTears Lubricant Eye Drops, Single-Use Containers rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 13 customer reviews.Don't Like This Packaging
by Carol H. Gordon[Verified Buyer] in Lawrencecville, GA on 4/14/09
Pros: Gentle, Improves Vision
Cons: Difficult To Use
Describe Yourself: Allergy Sufferer, Have Chronic Dry Eyes, Wear Glasses
Best Uses: Dry Eyes, Long Term Use, Quick Fix, Sensitive Eyes
Bottom Line: recommended
I love these drops (see my other review of the bottle variety) but I don't like this packaging. The top, once removed, cannot be replaced, so it is impossible to carry these in a purse or pocket and they must be used at home. This packaging is found in many brands of drops in individual vials and I don't care for it. The drops are great, for the reasons I previously listed, but I would purchase the bottle if you need to carry them with you.
TheraTears Lubricant Eye Drops, Single-Use Containers rates 2 out of 5 stars, from 13 customer reviews.Great drops, terrible vials
by Frustrated[Verified Reviewer] in Danville, CA on 1/30/09
Pros: Gentle, Improves Vision
Cons: Difficult To Use
Describe Yourself: Have Chronic Dry Eyes
Best Uses: Dry Eyes, Long Term Use, Sensitive Eyes
Bottom Line: not recommended
I'm sure the designers of the new vial do not use these drops. I get more on my face when I use them than in my eyes. This is so disappointing. I've tried many brands, and these are the best for my dry eye problem. I've been using them for several years. PLEASE ask the manufacturers to go back to the former vials.

by Dry Eye[Verified Buyer] in Pacifica, CA on 10/30/08
Pros: Soothes Eyes
Cons: Difficult To Use
Describe Yourself: Allergy Sufferer, Have Chronic Dry Eyes, Wear Contacts
Best Uses: Daily Use, Sensitive Eyes
Bottom Line: recommended
I use this product on a daily basis, and like the disposable style. I don't care for the new styling of the individual plastic applicators. Once you twist off the top, you can't reseat it, whereas you could with the previous styling. Still, I will purchase.
TheraTears Lubricant Eye Drops, Single-Use Containers rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 13 customer reviews.great product -difficult new top
by Lucky in DE[Verified Buyer] in Wilmington, DE on 10/27/08
Pros: Gentle, Refreshing, Soothes Eyes
Cons: Difficult To Use
Describe Yourself: Have Chronic Dry Eyes
Best Uses: Daily Use, Dry Eyes
I have used this product for 6 years. This last purchase came with a differently shaped tip - narrow and curved. I have had a lot of trouble actually getting the drops into my eyes without also poking myself with the tip. It is a fabulous eye drop for my dry eyes, but I will have to chose a different product if the old container is no longer available.

I used this product for many years. Just recently they changed the container design and it is a very poor design. Until they original design is brought back, I would suggest choosing another option.

It works ok, but the shape of the veil is irritating. I know some people like it, but it does not work for me.

My opthalmologist immediately gave me a sample pack when he found out I was using regular eye drops more than 4 times a day. I keep the box with separate vials in the refrigerator for extra relief for my dry eyes. The actual special patented bottle goes in my purse. This will save many people's eye health.

Recommended by my eye doctor and I love them. My eyes were very red and tired-looking all the time, and these helped so much. The anti-redness drops actually made it worse!! Editor's note: doctor's recommendation is based on customer experience, and has not been independently verified by the drugstore.com website.
