If you have a problem with the test you should write the company. Fact is this is THE MOST SENSITIVE test on the market. I've also used cheapie generics and theyre fine. Every so often I get a weird test, so I just wait and test again.

First Response is a terrible pregnancy test. I have had several instances of disappearing lines on these tests. The lines have lasted anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours, and then they vanish. It is simply heartbreaking to have a line and start getting excited about being pregnant, only to have it disappear. Each time this has happened I have gone out and purchased other brand tests and have gotten negative results within hours of getting a faint line on First Response. Each time I have gotten my period right on schedule. Clearly these tests are faulty. This is unacceptable. First Response needs to revamp their tests.

Never again will I buy this product. I had a strong suspicion I was pregnant, so I took the first test 3 days before my period. It gave me what looked to be a very faint positive. My husband and I were elated, as we've been trying to conceive for close to 1 year. Then the morning I usually get my period I took a second test "just to be sure". It did not give me ANY answer!! The "test" window had a dark line in it, but nothing in the results window. So I went to Walgreen's and got the "Answer" brand and it gave me a very clear "NEGATIVE" (followed by my period late that evening). Imagine my heartbreak after thinking for 3 days that we have finally conceived, (after already telling friends and family) only to have that taken away from us. I will never purchase this brand again. And also as a result of this experience, I will not purchase their "ovulation test kit" either -- who knows what they will screw up with that.

I'm only giving this pregnancy test 2 stars for one reason: the first time I took the test (at being 2 weeks pregnant) the results didn't show up until several HOURS later. Believing the test was defective, I didn't take another one. At 7 weeks pregnant I went to Wal-Mart and bought the generic Equate pregnancy tests. Both came up within 30 seconds with 2 very dark lines. So, remembering that I still had a First Response left over, I took that one again. VERY faint positive. I'm now almost 7 months pregnant and must say that if I ever suspect that I'm pregnant again in the future, I will not buy another First Response test and just buy the cheap Equate brand.

These tests are the worst. It says they detect a level of 25 ui, so do the tests from the Dollar Store. I have never liked these, but got sucked into thinking they will give me earlier results. I had a blood test done when my period was 1 day last and it was positive but the FR still didn't show. Someone should stop them from sucking women into spending tons of money when clearly they are lying about what these tests can do. Stick to the store brand, they are just as good.

They should have a zero or negative star for this. Three tests, three negative results...not even a *hint* of a second line in the window. I took them at -5 days, -2 days, and +1 day. Yesterday I took a FOURTH pregnancy test (EPT this time) and lo and behold I'm pregnant! I drank Mike's Hard Lemonade at a 4th of July BBQ because First Response said three times I wasn't pregnant. What absolute garbage. When I'm done here, I'm writing to the company to tell them in much more colorful language what I think of their product.

I had the same experience that several other women seem to have had. I tested a few days after my period was due, and I got negative results. I really thought that I was pregnant, though, so I bought another test (generic Wal-Mart brand) and got two positives! I would say that if you get a negative on this test but really suspect that you are pregnant, you should test again with another brand. Since this is supposed to be the most sensitive test, I have no idea why it came up negative for me.

Just used this test on the day of my missed period and it said positive. I realize everyone's body is different, you just have to find the one out there that works for you. If you have any doubts schedule a doctor's appointment. Great product -- good luck.

First Response is supposed to be one of the best products for detecting pregnancy before you expect your period. I took the test 2 days before my period, the day I was supposed to get my period, and then 3 days after my period was late and all three tests were negative. I had a big feeling that I was in fact pregnant though, so I bought another brand test (generic Walgreen's brand) and immediately the test showed positive!!! First Response caused me a lot of frustration!!

I used this product once on the day my period was due and it was positive - even hours later, 2 lines were still there. I would definitely recommend this product.
