My gynecological surgeon recommended this product to me after ovarian cancer surgery ten years ago. I have never found anything better--than the pre-filled applications. Some of the other forms do give me a burning feeling initially. I have never had the "cottage cheese" problem. I find it works best to use one application a few hours or the day before sex rather than immediately before for maximum effectiveness. One application from the applicators lasts me for several days.

I tried it just out of curiosity, I guess. It's always good to have vagina nice and moist. The application is easy. The gel did not burn or anything. It felt moist, then leaked a bit, then after couple hours it turned into cottage cheese looking stuff coming out. I washed it off with warm water. Not gross, it just worked as described in the package insert. I suspect it works like an exfoliator for vagina. Say when you use a scrub on your face, it removes dead skin cells, leaving soft glowing skin. Same thing. I would not use Replens the same day I am going to have sex though. That would be gross. But when my boyfriend is away for a couple days (or for a week), why not use it. I will give it a shot once in three days, see if I love the result.

Replens does relieve my dryness, but, I do get the cottage cheesy discharge up to 3 days afterward. My husband noticed the discharge when I first used it, and it was rather embarassing. I will keep on using Replens for the vaginal dryness relief. It works. I don't have as many bladder and yeast infections now, which I feel the dryness brought on initially.

Not impressed. Product caused burning sensation both times I used it. I experienced the skin pulling sensation mentioned by another woman's reviews. Got a urinary tract infection after the second use. I am afraid to use it again.

I tried the estrogen cream for very painful burning and frequent urination. It was so bad that I was having a hard time walking. The side effects of the creams made me burn and feel like I had PMS all the time. I tried the Replens and yes, there was a discharge when I was using it every day, but the relief was so worth it. After 2 weeks of using it daily, I was sleeping a 5 hour stretch, and before that it was an hour. I could walk again without pain. It was worth every penny to get the pain to stop. It's the only thing I tried that didn't burn.

I think this is a wonderful product. It is important to read the brochure and understand how the product works. I started using it because I hoped it would help prevent yeast infections, and discovered that a lot of the itching I was experiencing was dryness instead of yeast. I have fewer problems with residue (the white clumps) if I use it regularly.

This stuff is Great! I did not notice any of the "cottage cheese" problems the other people talked about, and I don't understand the problem of using it for a sexual lubricant. It just makes everything much more comfortable, and even my husband notices a difference, quite a difference. I went to the doctor because sex used to hurt so much, and she prescribed hormones, which I never used. Now I use this, and sex definitely does not hurt anymore.

I LOVE this product! I prefer the individual applications, as opposed to the refill applicator. This is partly due to not really knowing how much to dispense per insertion, and I feel it doesn't give you as many applications as indicated on the box, more like half the amount. The relief is instant, love making is again wonderfully exciting and comfortable. Speaking for myself, the Replens lasts 5 or 6 days!
