During the delivery of my son I got a 2nd degree tear. I was sent home from the hospital with this stuff. It works great and fast. In addition to my postpartum care, I've used it on bug bites, skinned knees, and sunburns.
It sometimes stings at first but it goes to work very fast.

Americaine has a very effective anesthetic that's perfect for killing the pain of burns, cuts, scrapes, rashes, hang nails, ingrown toe nails. Simply put, it kills the pain and is incredibly easy to use. You don't need to use a lot either. A little bit goes a long way. All you have to do is point and spray. It does have an oily base, so you'll want to cover the affected area with gauze just to keep it off your clothing.
Shake can well. Adults and children 2 years of age and older: apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily. Children under 2 years of age: consult a physician. Store at room temperature 15°-30°C (59°-86°F).
