I used Aquaphor for the first time last night and was actually shocked at the immediate results (first time that ever happened). This morning my hands are still as moist and soft, and it didn't wear off (even though I didn't wear cotton gloves). Another first.
I can't believe some of the negative comments on here. This is a "healing ointment" (even recommended for irritation due to radiation therapy). If your looking for something with a flowery scent that absorbs 100% (no protective barrier), there are many wonderful milky type scented lotions on the market. If you have uncomfortably dry hands and want relief, this product is awesome.
Those who say it's the "same as Vaseline" have obviously never worn Vaseline on their hands all day (and at night with cotton gloves). I give these people until the first time they try to turn a doorknob before they wash it off. Trust me, Aquaphor isn't greasy and absorbs very well compared to other ointments and creams that I've used. It's meant to leave a protective barrier on your skin, so no, it won't absorb like a lotion (luckily it doesn't transfer to objects you touch, so no worry about touching your hair or keyboard etc).
I'm very happy that I found this product. It's the first to provide immediate relief and to not wear off. Added bonus, I don't leave a greasy film on anything I touch. I love it! :)

I tried using this during the day and it didn't absorb very quickly. Worked better when I used it at night and it had all night to absorb. I like Neutrogena Norwegian Formula, fragrance free, better. It absorbs faster and works really well. It's also what my dermatologist recommended. It's sometimes hard to find, so I thought I'd try this as an alternative. I doubt I'll buy it again as long as I can get the Neutrogena. Aquaphor might be good for some, but it's too much like vaseline for me.

I found this really helpful for both acne and tattoo aftercare. I also read an article on http://aquaphorfortattoos.com that helped me make use of the last little bit of the 14oz tub that I had bought on the recommendation of my tattoo artist.

i suffered all of my life with horribly dry, chapped lips that would crack and split until 2010 when my dentist reccommended using aquaphor at night before bed. i put it on in the evening and it seems to stay on all night because there's still a little residue left in the morning. since using this product my lips haven't cracked or split and i don't have near as much gross flakey dry skin coming off of them. i sometimes use it in the daytime as well, especially if it's cold out. if you have dry, painful chapped lips i'd give this a try. it's my holy grail lip product!

My dermatologist recommended this to heal a stubborn wound that had remained after a nasty bug bite. I had tried the usual antibiotic ointments and nothing worked. I was skeptical and almost did not follow her advice. I thought this product was a moisturizer and could not understand why she was recommending it for a wound. Today I consider this a miracle drug and it is part of the five or six item emergency basics pack I always have at home and in my suitcase. Burns, cuts, scrapes, they heal faster than you will think possible. Yes it's a little bit greasy so don't use much and don't get it on your good fabrics such as silk. Otherwise, full stars for this one.

Recommended by my Oncologist while undergoing radiology treatments on my mouth and throat. My lips and neck got terribly "sunburned", and this became my miracle worker. I also noticed, sort of incidentally, that it also accelerates healing of bruises, to which I am highly susceptible.

I love this product it cure chapped dry skin. I did use it for minor burns and it is quite soothing just a great product. It helps in chapped lips too.
