This has got to be the best diaper rash ointment I have ever used. Just be aware, that the cream comes out of the tube fairly thick but spreads out easily when put on body. You only need a tiny bit, as it spreads out easily.

The absolute BEST! I won't use anything else on my son because nothing else works as well. It works SO MUCH better than A&D ointment...and it doesn't leave that medicine-ish smell. The best! I give this to every baby shower I've ever been to, and it is taken as a joke at first because of the name. But I have been thanked countless times by people for introducuing them to it because it is really such a great product! I just wish it came in a 12 oz size!

I bought this product in the trial size, and found it to be the BEST diaper rash ointment I have found (and I have used every brand I can find between my 2 kids). It is worth every penny. My youngest son (who is now 3) would ask for it when his fanny would get irritated. I even recommended it to my pediatrician (in case he hadn't heard of it). After my husband and I raved about it, he said he would definitely recommend it to other parents. Obviously I have recommended it to all of my girlfriends who have children in diapers, and I have received grateful thank yous! I have bought it since in the larger size. I will never buy another rash ointment if I have more kids in the future. P.S. My mom is a nurse in an elderly care facility, and they use it on the patients there as well!

My 4 year old had a colectomy reversal done in September. Because she had been going to the bathroom in a colostomy bag, now that she was going through the normal route, the skin on her tooshy was so red and irritated and no matter what I used, it kept getting worse. I saw Butt Paste at my local pharmacy, and thought I'd give it a try. Within days her irritation was gone, and has not returned. I am an RN, and worked for many years across the street from Boudreaux's Pharmacy in Covington, LA, where this product emerged as a hand compounded product from the pharmacist there. I am very glad that it has gotten such widespread attention and recommend it myself as a useful item for skin irritations that are not related to infections (people need to be circumspect with what they are putting on open skin, particularly if there are other problems like fever or drainage... they should consult a healthcare professional). This is a good product for simple rashes from incontinence at any age, and as a skin barrier to prevent them.

As far as I'm concerned, this stuff is gold. My little girl had been on 2 prescriptions for diaper rash...nothing was working, and I was at my wit's end. The pediatrician gave me some samples of this as a last resort, and it cleared it up within 2 days. I'll never use anything else. Doctor's recommendation is based on customer experience, and has not been independently verified by the drugstore.com website.

We love this product. My youngest child has delicate skin, and tends to get a sensitive, red bum. We've tried several brands, and this one works the best for him. He likes to hold the tube and look at the baby. The color and smell don't bother me at all.

My son got a rash a few days ago. It was bright red, bumpy, and sore. It is the first rash I've seen on him that looked like this [he's about 3 weeks shy of turning 2]. He would wince when I'd change his pants, or when I'd bathe him. I felt so bad. I have applied this cream about 4 times in the last 10 hours, and the rash has improved by at least 50%. Pretty awesome stuff, I have to say. I've read some of the other reviews, and noticed the complaints made about scent, color, and high cost. For as well as it seems to be working, I could care less about those factors. Diaper rash can be such a painful thing for a little bottom to endure. So, for the relief it has given my son, I say hats off to Mr. Boudreaux. Great product.

My baby boy had a severe diaper rash due to antibiotic use. The other diaper rash creams seemed to hurt him and did nothing to clear up the awful redness and bumps. I got a tube of this stuff at my baby shower and decided to give it a try. WOW!!! In less than 24 hours, my babys rash was 99% gone. It was amazing!! And it didnt seem to cause him any discomfort!! I am a believer and will only use this product now. Sure it costs a little more, but it's worth every cent!

As a diaper rash creme - it works great. I switch between Aquaphor and Butt Paste depending on the type of rash. I am interested in trying it on Eczema (as one reviewer stated!). What I love it best for is my eleven year old son.....he has a terrible problem with chapped lips. The entire area around his mouth can turn beat red in one afternoon. He puts this on his lips and around them at night and it is gone by morning. Of course, he has NO IDEA what I am giving him...I put it on a cotton ball. He actually will ask for my "special stuff"!
