The directions on the box say that it's only to be used as a pain killer but it really helps cuts, scrapes, etc. heal quicker. We've used it on faces, etc., it reduces scaring. I can only find it on drugstore.com, no stores in my area carry it anymore!

As someone who grew up using iodine ointment to treat cuts and other wounds, watching this work is like magic. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my wound healed after using this.

58 years ago, my father, spilled an entire quart of hot paraffin on his face coming down a telephone pole. He had been using the paraffin to seal cables. In small town KS he rushed to the pharmacy and was given this product. We lathered foille over his entire face and miraculously he healed completely without a scar!

I am so excited to see this still exists,that Santa is being asked to put it in everyone's stocking!

Foille, made by Blistex, is an awesome product to keep on hand. I haven't found anything out there that relieves the pain from burns like Foille does. My mother-in-law recommended it to me years ago, and to this day, my family and I still uses it.

This is absolutely WONDERFUL and has been around for years (>40). My experience: Forty years ago my father put his feet in the sand to keep them cool while sitting at the beach. Yea they were fried.

Went to the hospital and after their service they recommended Foille. Being very light skin and subject to sun burn our whole family always took it with us on vacations and kept it in our medicine cabinet.

It is greasy and does not smell like flowers, but when your skin is burning you really do not care. I never road home from the beach sitting on an intertube (that is what we used to call them.)again.

It is hard to find in typical drug stores (You can't find.) You will not find a better product for sunburn, bar none. This is why I just purchased 35 of them. That is a VERY HIGH RECOMMENTATION.

One caution: Foille is used after you are sunburned. This IS NOT a preventive of sunburn Ie. Sunscreen or Tanning Lotion. Long story my sister would not like published.

This stuff heals faster than anything else! We use it for any external skin condition/abrasion. No need to keep any others! Heals fast!

My mom has used this stuff on me and my brothers and sisters since we were little. We are all very pale and burn very easy in the sun- my sister was so bad she got blisters. This was the one product that I still use today that actually helps take away the sting of a sunburn, it helps reduce redness with in a few days and helps take that heat away from your skin to stop damage and help healing. It's amazing I buy one every year for summer, use it on my husband and on my two year old. The only down side is it is a little greasy but if you use it before bed under pajama's it usually is not a problem. Also very good at helping with kitchen burns, I have used it many times being a chef and burning myself when I was younger and just learning.

This is the best medicine to use on burns. It promotes healing very quickly even for those third degree burns. It also works well with other cuts and scrapes.
