My doctor told me that I have a sensitivity to neomycin, which is one of the ingredients in the famous brand. This polysporin has 2 of the 3 antibiotics found in the famous brand, but without the irritating neomycin. It's the only antibiotic ointment we keep around the house now. Works like a charm and no itching! VS Most Liked Negative Review Safest and Effective, but Pricey This is a good double antibiotic ointment, with no added pain reliever or neomycin which can both cause further irritation to some people's skin. It is pricey however. This is a good double antibiotic ointment, with no added pain reliever or neomycin which can both cause further irritation to some people's skin. It is pricey however.
