I had a boil that went form the size of a pea to the size of a peach pit in two days. It was in a VERY sensitive spot. I remembered my mother having "drawing salve" around when i was young and wondered if they made it any more. I found this,and after reading the reviews figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I really had no hope that it would work -- I looked at the ingredients and couldn't figure out how they worked. But I slapped some on,and covered it with a bandage. The relief from the pain was immediate, so that was nice. FOUR HOURS LATER I pressed on it very gently and whoosh! Out came all that bad stuff and the size was reduced by half I kept using it for three days until there was nothing else left to come out. This is amazing stuff and I will never be without it. Yes it's messy and kinda smelly but it works like a miracle and is cheap too!!!

I bought this hoping it would help with my acne by drawing the oil/dirt/pus to the surface. Nope--not at all. I also tried it on a really nasty bug bite, but it also had no effect.

I was skeptical about this product being as amazing as the reviews I read on this and other sites. But I am thoroughly convinced! I've applied this product to a blemish in the morning, and by the afternoon, it's gone. It absolutely promotes healing while alleviating the redness. I love it and have already recommended it to several friends.

I suffer from dry skin. A recent trip to New England wreaked havoc on my fingers, especially my index fingers. My skin was bumpy, peeling, dry, and even bleeding at some points. I picked this up and decided to give it a try, as lotion and Vaseline weren't cutting it. I applied it to my fingers and wrapped them in large adhesive bandages before bed. The next morning I was SHOCKED to see how much better my skin looked and felt after just one application. This success prompted me to apply it to my heels, which are constantly dry, peeling, and painful. I have tried countless products and nothing has worked. Again, after one application, my skin looked and felt SO MUCH BETTER. That being said, you should be aware of a few things if you are considering trying this product.

1. It has a very distinct smell, similar to pine tar, so be prepared.

2. The substance is quite firm, so the first time you go to use it, you really need to dig into the salve with your fingers in order to get a decent amount out of the tin. It isn't like Vaseline or lip balm. You need to press HARD.

3. The consistency of the product is thick and gooey. This is what makes it such a great salve, but it will leave your hands feeling sticky, so you will need to wash them when you are finished applying it to the affected area.

All in all, a great product at a great price! I'm glad I found it!

I got a cut outside and something got stuck in the cut even tho I cleaned it. No matter what I did I could not get it out and it hurt. I ordered this hoping I would not have to go to the dr., and it worked. Did exactly as the product recommended and within a day it worked. I don't know how it worked, but I do know from now on this product will always be in my medicine cabinet.

This stuff works miracles! I had been battling a series of cysts/boils on my legs. I applied this salve on them and several all but disappeared overnight! I don't know how it works, but it does!!

I have been coping with a ganglion cyst for the past four years on the top of my wrist. It is extremely painful and though I had tried everything short of surgery, It has never gone away. I even had it drained by a doctor, which I don't recommend, because it was back within days due to the fact that draining it doesn't remove the sac so it just refills. Well, a few days ago I saw Prids Drawing Salve on a local stores shelf and decided to try it for my sons styes and other boo-boos. On a whim, I decided to glop a quarter sized amount on my wrist and cover it with a Bandaid overnight. I have done this two nights. Today, I went to take the Bandaid off discouraged, because my cyst didn't look any different. Right before taking the bandaid off I squished the cyst (thinking, "why won't you go away?!) applying a bit of pressure, but not painful at all, and GUESS WHAT?! IT POPPED!!! I can't believe it is gone! Thank you so much Prids!!!!! My son's styes are looking better as well!

It works. I was sort of skeptical because I have never used anything like this before, but I get boils under my arms a lot. I bought some today, and I swear the thing had popped 30 min later. I put some on and covered it with a band-aid. Will definitely keep on hand.

We were long-time drawing salve users, but noticed several years ago that the ingredients seemed to have changed and the modern product was more smelly and staining than effective. We gave Prid a try and found it at least as effective as the other drawing salves, and considerably better smelling. Technically, I guess I'd have to say it is MORE effective than other drawing salves because we're actually willing to commit to repeated applications and get the most benefit from it. Like other drawing salves, it's a little messy, so we're careful to use a Bandaid when practical. We've used it twice recently. My son used it on a small infection on his toe; he texted me from French class to tell me it had worked impressively well and his sock was wet. Gross. My brother used it on a painful ingrown hair on his neck. His results took longer and it was difficult to convince him to stick with it and keep reapplying, but I noticed that it looked considerably better a week later. The ingredient list is pretty easy to live with. The price is reasonable. The results are good enough to earn it a regular spot in the medicine cabinet.
