I use the Ace Cold Compress mostly for my back, but it works great when I bang my shins on the bed (often)...it keeps my shins from swelling and even bruising. I love it for my back. I bought two of these to replace one I bought in 1989...it finally ruptured!! After 20 years, it didn't owe me a thing! Have tried other brands, and they have ruptured within a few weeks. I bought two of these and use them on my knees. They are large and pliable and conform to the shape of my knees. The covering is velvety smooth and very comfortable on my skin. I keep them in the freezer and they never get too cold, so I don't need to wrap them in a towel before use. They remain cold for a long time. The covering seems very sturdy, has rounded corners and smooth edges. You won't be disappointed!

for hot flashes it's great to lay on my grand son is confine to a wheelchair I put it behind his back and head while traveling on hot days.I keep a thermo lunch bag on his wheelchair and always pack 2 or 3 to take with us everyday. I put them in the freezer at therapy and they are cold for when we travel home. I have share them with others we meet, who have had pain or are just hot.It is easy to clean and very durable. IIt is so soft and comfortable. I often lean with it behind me in the car or on the couch ,when i am having back pain or just hot.
