My hands and skin are very dry due to DIABETES & HYPO-THYROIDISM !!! I have NOT been able to find ANYTHING in the USA that would give me the DEEP MOISTURIZATION my skin requires to feel good -- UNTIL NOW !!! My clinic has a basket of "give aways" every month & last month they had these little .21oz tubes of AmLactin XL ULTRAPLEX formulation so I grabbed a handful (not believing it would work, as I've tried EVERYTHING out there). Well, I was SHOCKED & THRILLED -- it WORKS !!! I use it after each hand wash & it keeps my hands moist & pliable until I have to wash hands again & then I re-apply AmLactin !!! It's WONDERFUL & I use it on my dry arms & legs & even my face (keep away from eyes). I have been ordering my skin lotion from New Zealand for almost 10yrs & will continue to do so as it is WONDERFUL & CHEAPER -- even w/shpg ! It's called: API CARE: with Calendula & Manuka Honey (about [$]). Has a wonderful scent, moisturized wonderfully because honey is a Natural HUMATICANT !!! And I order 5 to 6 tubes at a time which lasts me a YEAR !!! But when I'm out of my NZ hand creme I will be sure to have AMLACTIN XL ULTRAPLEX LOTION on hand (no pun intended), because it is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST AMERICAN PRODUCT MADE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My plastic surgeon recommended for use at night, even on face. When I awake, face, neck, hands are soft and smooth. It even works on rough elbows and heels. My skin is very sensitive and dry, so I don't know how this would be for oily skin.

Great for very dry heels.

Great for cracked heals and soles of feet.

I have seriously dry skin (which sometimes flares into Eczema with enough stress) and this lotion has become my favorite. It is a bit on the heavy side, but I think that contributes to its extra long staying power. I use it at night and after bathing. It has helped me get rid of some old hangnails that would not go away, and has also completely gotten rid of my cracked heels. It has not really helped lessen the appearance of "chicken skin" (small red dots on my upper legs and upper arms), however. It doesn't really smell like much to me, which is good because I seriously dislike perfumed lotions. I guess it's vaguely medicinal smelling, but only while it's super fresh. It doesn't bother me in the slightest, and I'm the type of person who usually covers my nose when people with too much cologne/perfume walk by. In my opinion, no one should be able to smell you unless they're intimately close. No one will smell you wearing THIS.

I am a product jiunkie and have tried most lotions. I get red dry bumps / pathches on my arms in the winter. THIIS WORKED. My arms aren't perfect, but it works better than any other product that I have used.

I had high hopes after reading the reviews, and paying that much, but this stuff just is not for me. I did not realize that it had such a high AHA content, and my sensitive skin really flared up. If you are NOT sensitive to such things and are looking for a serious moisturizer with AHA, it would be a good choice. It does have a bit of an odor.

I battled uncontrollable eczema/dermatitis for years. I've tried practically every prescription product out there... antihistamines, steroid creams, you name it.. and nothing worked. I cannot stress enough how much this product has changed my life. My hands used to itch so badly i would cry. I tried amlactin xl not expecting it to work (if prescription products couldnt help, why would an over the counter??) and was absolutely amazed. I stated using it at night under cotton gloves and within a week there was drastic improvement. I would recommend this to anyone who battles eczema.
