I have all white sheets, white towels--makes housekeeping easier-- and white slipcovers in the family room that I wash with The Laundress Whites. My family loves the scent and the softness. I wash and hang white t shirts to dry with TL White, keeping them whiter and crisper longer also.

I HAVE TRIED THIS FORMULA, THE DELICATE (LADY), SIGNATURE AND BABY. They all clean well. The Signature formula actually removed a greasy BBQ chicken sauce set in for days stain (I PRE-TREATED the area to be washed and soaked in hot water for one hour). Overall, this stuff cleans well w/out damaging clothes,, but there is one HUGE problem--the smell is cloyingly sickening. I just can't get past it. It's one thing if they just added "essential oils" that are natural like vanilla, lavender, ect , but they add "fragrance" which usually means synthetic perfume. They smells sooo strong and artificial that I had to open the window to stop from gagging and my sinuses burned and I developed a headache.
I bought them all together thinking I would like this as a few years back I tried the delicate formula and it smelled clean and soapy--not strong at all--evidently, the formula has changed.
Now I am stuck with these bottles of detergent--my friends don't want them as they don't like the perfume in their clothes.
I will contact this company and ask them to make fragrance free formulas. If these were fragrance free or just had a touch of NATURAL essential oil, I would buy this product regardless of the price.
I do prefer a powder detergent, however, every one that I have tried are not good--tearing my clothes up, allergies, etc. I'm a bit fed up! I want to find a natural detergent that doesn't tear up my clothes, that doesn't smell bad and that's non toxic! Leave a comment if you have a suggestion.

I use the whole Laundress line and find it very effective. If more cleaning power is needed when using the Whites detergent,I add the dry bleach. The stain solution is very effective for spot treatment. The cap on the bottle is the measuring device and two measures is all that is needed for an HE washer.

Love this detergent for my whites. Keeps the whites looking clean and bright and has a wonderful scent. Only cons are the cost and the lack of a cap to measure the amount of detergent.

Did not see a miraculous difference in my old whites. Maybe consistent use on new whites is its strength.

Amazing detergent. It makes my whites look like new without the use of added chlorine or non-chlorine bleach, borax, etc. Just a little Laundress and the whole load is perfect. This detergent seems costly, but a little goes a long way, and no other products are needed, so it's really not too expensive. The "more is better" mindset that I'm used to having when it comes to laundry has gone through a major readjusting. My family's laundry, which always faded, frayed, started to fall apart after a few washings, will last much longer because I'm using this detergent.
