I started using The Laundress product to save from dry cleaning. Initially it was for my wollens and cashmere. I discovered all the other products soon after. This one works great on darks. I hand wash most of my dark clothes and hang dry or dry flat. I've had the bottle for 8 months now and just past the halfway point. Overall I have saved more money now that I haven't gone to the cleaners. Totally worth $20 and keeping my clothes clean and looking newer longer. Plus the scent is great and more eco friendly.

I LOVE The Laundress line...every one of them! Because they are expensive, someone else suggested using The Laundress laundry soaps with another inexpensive detergent. And because I adore the smell of Classic (like fresh air), I wanted one that wouldn't compete with its smell, i.e. one that's free and clear.

I found a winning combination: there's a product line called Ology. Use 1 1/2 -2 caps of Ology Free and Clear liquid detergent, one cap of Ology fabric softener,and a couple of squirts of Classic, and your laundry will be great-smelling, soft and looking bright.

Use this combination of Ology with any of the The Laundress laundry soaps (especially Wool/Cashmere shampoo). Well worth the money!

This detergent works great. The clothes come out clean smell as if they were line dried in the fresh air. I don't use fabric softener so I know it is the product and nothing else. AQs some other reviewrs havew stated it is a bit thick and viscous, so I just pour it directly from the bottle into the stream of water as the washer fills.

Love this stuff! Found it here at drugstore.com, tried it out and now I'm hooked. Smells great and I'm not one who usually likes any scent w/my detergent. My darks stay dark and come out clean as a whistle. It's a bit pricey but worth it.

This stuff is great! I especially like how it seems to guard against lint buildup on the clothes. Apparently The Laundress used to make a product to repel pet hair, but has put that ingredient in the darks detergent since that one has been discontinued. I air dry my clothes, so it is important to me to have as little lint as possible on darks (the dryer would otherwise remove some, too). Also, it is very effective at getting the grime off my husband's dark collars. Nothing else has worked this well for that before. I don't even pre-treat the dark shirts (blue, grey, etc)-- just smear a generous amount of this detergent right on the problem spots and quickly rub in before putting in the washer.

I've been using all the Laundress products exclusively for over 2 years now in my front loading machine. My dark denim jeans come out like new. I use a little less detergent than instructed and add a bit of water-softener since I have very hard water in my area. I also appreciate the concentrated formula and space-saving packaging since I do have room for the monster-sized containers that other detergents come in.

A bit more expensive, sure. But no harmful chemicals for me or the environment best I can see.

This is a great product. I actually use less than advised and my clothes are pristine clean. The scent is heavenly....fresh not perfumy.
