I don't know if there were other factors involved, but I will not buy this cleanser again. It might work well for people with normal skin, but I would not recommend it for anyone with acne-prone skin. Plus, I'm trying to stop buying so many products with plastic packaging, so I'm really on the look-out for a bar soap. I was hesitant to change my facial regimen but wanted something more natural (but that still worked!). This product is vegan and rates well on EWG's website, but honestly you don't feel like you are using an "all natural" product.

I think this product would be great for someone with super super oily skin. I have a oily t zone but this stuff is just too much. All vitamin C products do this to me I have concluded. It has a nice foaminess, and it's gentle enough to use on my sensitive skin twice a day. The vitamin C does seem to even my skin tone slightly. This is a good deal! But after three days' use my face was tight and very tender, like it was burned. I stopped using it right away and my skin became very bumpy and peeled for about a week.
