Works Great For Some People by MK in San Francisco, CA on 6/22/08Pros: Even Tan, Natural Tan Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented Best Uses: Body Bottom Line: recommended This product works great for my Mediterranean olive colored skin. I get a natural golden glow and I absolutely love it. Goes on evenly too.
My friend who is white used it and it looked very orange. I think it really depends on your skin type. I recommend using it on a small spot first to see how you react to it. It's cheap enough to give it a try...you may get great results like I do.
Another great sunless tan is the Chanel lotion...but much more expensive.
*Terrible and the mistake ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/16/08*Terrible and the mistake is long-lasting!* This product is IMPOSSIBLE to apply evenly whether you go back and forth, up and down, whatever. The first time was blotchy and incomplete, so I gave it another try and had my methodical husband do the spraying. That gave even worse results (and I had shaved and buffed beforehand, by the way.) Also, the spray is colorless so I didn't notice that it had run down on one side of my foot. The horrible orange stripes are still there a week later! So I'm wearing long pants and shoes when it's 90 degrees and 90% humidity. I've used a variety of tanners and this one is by far THE WORST.
The reviews are all ... by Rebecca in Colorado Springs, CO on 6/1/08The reviews are all right; however, this is a very good product if you spend the time to do it correctly. Best results occur if you use it right after showering and shaving your legs, and then spray it from the correct distance. I am very fair, and the resulting color I achieved was fantastic. Make sure you are constantly moving the can as you spray, and you should get fairly even coverage. If it's not perfect, you can correct any errors later the same day. Best self tanner I've found.
I am very fair skinned ... by Lilly in Undisclosed on 4/24/08I am very fair skinned and have a difficult time getting a tan so I have had some experience with fake tanners. This product has been by far the best product I have used so far. I found it's better if you have someone spray you rather than doing it yourself. Also it is VERY, VERY important to exfoliate before applying. I also suggest to spray AT LEAST 10 inches away from areas such as knees, feet, & ankles because in tends to go on heavier in those areas. I normally spray a light mist over the area I want to cover and then apply another light mist over the area again 1 hour later just to ensure I didn't miss anything, this method has worked great for me. The product fades nicely; I applied mine 3 days ago and it is fading smoothly. The only con I would say about this product is that I am not crazy about the smell, but it is most definitely not the worst I have experienced.
I'm an experienced ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/23/08I'm an experienced self-tanner, followed all the "rules," and this product still left my lower legs blotchy and the blotches just became more and more noticeable as the tan wore off during the week! Thankfully I only used it on my legs which I could keep covered all week.
I am very fair skinned ... by Kay in Undisclosed on 4/1/08I am very fair skinned and I freckle in the sun. I have tried various self tanners over the years and this one is the best. I have even tried some high end expensive brands and you can't beat this one. It is better than a salon spray on tan. You need to make sure you don't spray any dry skin areas and parts that don't tan with sun and it looks like you have a beautiful golden tan. I love it and I use it twice a week to keep the suntanned look of summer!!!
I am a redhead with skin ... by Becca in Undisclosed on 5/8/07I am a redhead with skin that is extremely sensitive. Sitting out in the sun would increase my chances for skin cancer and wrinkles, so since a few years back I have been on a mission to find the perfect self-tan. I have tried: L'Oreal wipes, L'Oreal spray, L'Oreal moisturizer for fair skin, Almay, Fake'n'Bake, St. Tropez, Clarins, and last summer I thought I knew it all. I thought I would give it one last shot to see if I couldn't add a little glow to my skin without a rash-I sprayed it on this morning - LOVELY powdery scent - no funky cracker smell, the tan is even, and just looks like the sun has caught my upper arms nicely, and it goes on lightly for a fair person. The best part though: no streaks and no rash in sight! I couldn't be happier!
I am very pale, and have ... by Carla in Undisclosed on 5/8/07I am very pale, and have long since given up the hopes of trying to achieve a tan with the sun--I always burn! I've been a sunless-tanner guinea pig for at least 10 years. I've tried them all! I have to say, this one, if used correctly, is the best! Streaks are a result of improper application--not poor product. Spray it in a well ventilated area using long, continuous, even sweeps. Let it dry a few moments before dressing. Don't spend too much time spraying any one area, or you WILL be streaky. Believe me, I'm as pale as they get--and this stuff gives me a sun-kissed glow every time. Have some patience and practice with it. ALSO--sometimes it jams up after you've been spraying awhile--little tip--when it does that, shake it and don't spray for a minute or two. It will work again.
I love this product! YOU ... by Heidi Ann in Cecil, AR on 4/13/07I love this product! YOU MUST HOLD THE CAN AT ABOUT 10 INCHES FROM YOUR BODY TO ENSURE IT GOES ON EVENLY. I cannot stress this enough. I have found that I spray it on in the morning after my shower, then apply my makeup, blow dry my hair, and the tanner is dry by then so I get dressed. This is a great product, but you have to use it correctly.
AWFUL! I'm ghostly white ... by brittany in Undisclosed on 3/29/07AWFUL! I'm ghostly white and I've never looked so orange before. I looked like spilt spagetti sauce on my legs because of the way it left streaks and spots because the color is not instant. Waste of money, and super-hard to apply an even coat. One word for this product: EMBARASSING! |
