i am a longtime tinted ... by emily in Undisclosed on 3/22/07i am a longtime tinted moisturizer user, and first time spray tanner, and I have to say that this product was pretty great! A couple hours after I sprayed on this stuff I got a nice even tan that did not look fake. The product did not make me much darker which I liked and will probobly do a second coat tomorrow. I am giving this product 4 stars only becasue the spray nozzle is hard to push down. But other than that, I really like the tan that this product delivered!
I have NEVER been so ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 3/1/07I have NEVER been so embarassed, it turned me bright orange, had a horrible after-odor when it dried, I can't beleive they would even put this on the market. I will NEVER use a Neutrogena product for tanning again.
I have used many tanners, ... by Susan C in Neptune, NJ on 9/9/06I have used many tanners, and so far this is the best. Some of these cost three times more than Micro Mist Neutrogena. This one goes on evenly, don't need to rub it in, so no need to scrub hands afterward. Gives a beautiful golden tan. Best of all for me: no strong smell, no oily residue, no dry skin. Did not come off on my clothes. I used the medium shade and it does look best with two applications. One gives a hint of color, two a golden tan.
I hated it. I exfoliated ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/3/06I hated it. I exfoliated and everything it said to do, and I put it on, and in the morning I woke up looking like an Oompa Loompa! Streaks everywhere, and very blotchy. If you're a beginner, I wouldn't try this. Try L'Oreal Sublime Bronze lotions.
This was horrible! After ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 7/22/06This was horrible! After reading all the good reviews, I decided to give it a try. The first time I used it, I didn't put enough on and so I didn't get any color at all or it was so light that I couldn't see it.
The second time I read all the info I could find online about how to properly apply it. It turned out streaky, blotchy, orange and just plain horrible! Also, it stained my clothing really badly even though it dried very quickly and I waited to get dressed until it was completely dry. I stupidly used this two days before my anniversary and so I had to soak in a vinegar bath and rub for a long time with a washcloth to remove as much of this as I could. It left a ring around the tub which I had to clean off.
Awful, awful product and I'll NEVER use it again.
This wasn't streaky on ... by Heather in San Ramon, CA on 6/18/06This wasn't streaky on me, but it was blotchy. The tan only showed up in a few large spots (I only used it on my legs). There is no way to see where it's going, or if you're using too much or too little, so even if you follow the directions it's probably impossible to apply perfectly. The color that did show up isn't too dark, but it's too orange-y.
Great product, you just ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/16/06Great product, you just have to apply it correctly: keep the can a good distance away and spray evenly in one fluid motion. This will allow the product to fall evenly on your body. This stuff dries very quickly, and leaves no marks on your clothes. You only have to wait about a minute or two to get dressed, and it leaves a nice golden color. I've found that it lasts about 3 days before fading, and even when it does, it doesn't look splotchy. Best thing is, no rubbing and no orange palms!
I liked the color; it ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/15/06I liked the color; it came out deep but natural-looking, which is rare on my pale skin. It took about 20 minutes to dry, which might seem like ages, but I find that any lotion is going to take longer. I was able to dress at that time, and nothing rubbed off on my clothes.
That being said, I only got color on half of my body - the fumes were so strong and it felt so wet that I hadn't realized until the color developed later that I had painted stripes on myself. Also, there were several darker patches where I must have held the spray for too long.
If you have the patience, coordination, and ventilated room to make this product work, you'll probably love it. I'm going back to lotions, though.
This is terrible self ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/13/06This is terrible self tanner! I think I am pretty experienced at applying self tanner, and this left huge streaks on me. I tried to even out the streaks by spraying it where it had missed and it made it worse. I even tried another time to spray it into my hand and then put it on, and I still got streaks. Go with a lotion instead of this stuff, you will be much happier with the results!
I am naturally pale and ... by Deanna in Austin, TX on 5/11/06I am naturally pale and do not tan easily, so I am always using sunless tanning products. This one in the best I have tried so far. If you hold it away from your body and put a light coating on - it gives such a natural, even color without a strong odor. So easy to use - works at any angle (I can do my own back) and no rubbing in (no colored palms)! I love it! |
