I have extremely light eyelashes, so this is perfect for everyday use without the hassle of mascara. Most of it wears off by the end of the day anyway, so on the nights that I fall asleep before washing my face, my eyelashes aren't all clumped and stuck together in the morning. The only drawback is that it smears very easily if your eyes water just a little bit, so I probably won't use it during allergy season this Spring. I do wear contact lenses, and this doesn't irritate my eyes at all.

I chose this mascara because I wear contacts and the idea that it wouldn't clump or flake (and get into my eyes) and would still wash off was very appealing to me. When it was on, it didn't clump or look flaky. But, within a couple of hours I had to take my contacts out, clean them, and then clean the rest of the stuff out of my eyes. But, it did look very natural on, although I will not wear it again. I was fairly disappointed since this is a Neutrogena product.

If you are looking for something to make your eyelashes dark, thick and dramatic, this is not the product for you. But if you are sick of mascaras that are too dark and too clumpy and just plain too much, this is a great alternative. Because this is just eyelash TINT not paint; it isn't difficult to control the amount you put on and it doesnt clump or run or anything. The only drawback I noticed is that its way expensive for how much you get, it's the size of a normal mascara container, but 3/4ths of it is the wand. But I haven't used the whole container yet, so it may last longer than regular mascara, and that would take away my only complaint.

If you want heavy, very dark lashes, this product is NOT for you. It doesn't work or look like any other mascara I've ever tried before. It goes on without any clumps and without making lashes stick together. It doesn't add volume or curl, but it does darken so that the tips of lashes stand out more. This product is ideal for daily use, as it brings out lashes without making them look really dramatic. If you tend to feel like your eyes are a little overdone with normal mascara and want something subtler, this is exactly what you need. It also doesn't smudge, and even if I go to bed with it still on it doesn't create any dark circles or marks around my eyes. I love this product and will definitely use it again, though I will probably use something heavier for more dressy occasions.

At age 42, I'm at the point where I don't want to wear makeup all the time, but am reluctant to go out without any makeup on at all. My job requires me to wear full makeup, but on my days off I want to wear something a lot more casual. Unfortunately mascara always makes even the most casual makeup more dramatic. I was curious to try Neutrogena's Clean Lash Tint as an alternative. The product is true to its name. It darkens lashes cleanly without the spiky dramatic effect of mascara, and it washes off completely with cleanser and water. I've never had an eyelash fall out with this product, either. I plan to use this as my summer and weekend alternative to mascara. The only drawback I could see was that it took several coats to see the darkening effect, and it does not curl or lengthen lashes. However, if you're looking for a clean alternative to mascara, this is definitely the product to use.
