This makeup remover is a miracle. I'm a ballet dancer, and I often have to remove glopped on stage makeup. This takes off my layers of waterproof mascara and eyeliner in a few swipes, and leaves no residue. I also have sensitive skin, and haven't had any problems with irritation. Anyone who says this product isn't oil free is silly. Read the ingredients and it's clear there isn't any oil in there. The fact that the two layers separate out doesn't mean there's oil in the cleanser. It's just because of the chemical bonds in the ingredients.

I, too, was initially surprised to see that this product is two-layered and needs to be shaken before use, as it says it's oil free. I don't care in this case, this is the best eye makeup remover I've ever used. It removes all types of eye makeup completely and effortlessly, and I love the way my eyelids feel afterwards. They are not left feeling greasy; rather, they feel well moisturized. In any event, I like it, it's perfect for me!

This is not an oil free formulation but the oil is very light weight, and the cleanser is gentle and is able to remove stubborn waterproof mascara and zero transfer lipstick in a snap. It does not need to be rinsed off and doesn't sting the eyes. Just a dab on q tip will fix any mistakes you make with mascara or eyeliners. I use this every evening to take off my makeup and suspect it would make a gentle facial cleanser if your skin was dry.

I switched from Physician's Forumla eye makeup remover to Neutrogena. I'm glad I did. I wear waterproof mascara, and I like the fact that after using this product I no longer have smudges under my eyes or on my pillow from mascara residue I thought I had cleaned off. I also like the fact that if you happen to get any in your eye you don't have to look through an oily haze for the next 10 minutes. I have oily/sensitive skin, and I haven't had any breakouts or rashes due to this product.

This product claims to be 100% oil-free, but it was so slick and oily that after trying it once, I returned it. I don't know what's in it that makes it SEEM oily, but I would never call this oil-free. Ugh.

I tried Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover because it was listed as oil-free and was fairly inexpensive. I followed the package directions to the letter and voila! I got a terrible rash on my eyelids that lasted for several months. I could not wear eyeshadow for the months that it took for the irritation to go away. I poured this stuff down the drain and went back to drugstore brand cold cream.

I have spent a lot more money on Estee Lauder, Clinique and Lancome's eye make up removers. I have found very few products available in drug stores that I felt were comparable. This is an exception. I like it a lot better than Estee Lauder and Clinique and as much as Lancome's and it is much cheaper. Couldn't be happier and wouldn't go back to others.

this gives a very oily feel when used and it takes so much work to dissolve any eye makeup brand i use, not worth the price

HORRIBLY OILY... I had to rinse my eyes with Refresh tears for hours after using. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

This is the best makeup remover! I wear mascara during the day, then I remove it with this product. It comes off so easily, smoothly. Also, it isn't painful.
