Nexcare has been a staple for me for over ten years when they used to sell them at CVS. I have been buying them online for years. They help me greatly. I'm a stay at home mom and I suffer from the worst Migraines that you couldn't even imagine. If there are thirty days in the month I have a Migraine about twenty five of those days. The pain is awful these icepacks allow me to still take care of my child and tote him around to afterschool activities, friends homes etc. the cover that comes with this wraps around your head so I can help with homework, make dinner, play a game. Basically it it my saving grace. If you suffer like I do please get these you will not be disappointed. I buy a TON of these every few months. My bathroom closet is my storage for these icepacks. I might forget to buy milk but, i Always remember to order my icepacks!

This pack is not as pictured on the box. The photo on the box may be the pack inside the sleeve. The sleeve in the one we bought doesn't have any print on it.

The actual pack is a clear plastic pillow with very sharp square corners. In our experience these sharp corners are very prone to leaking. It's the weak point in the pack. This new one has not leaked as yet.

The cover is a fuzzy synthetic sleeve with a velcro closure and an elastic strap with velcro. It's not a bad idea, just a bit awkward for our uses.

We have not tried it as a heat pack.

For cold packs, we now prefer the packs without square corners. The rounded corner shape like the Ace or Ace-type cold pack seems to be more durable. We also ordered the Wal... Reusable Cold Compress coldpack that is an Ace-type. We like that better.

Bought this as a back-up to one we already have and my husband uses constantly for sore joints and sinus headaches. Will use one for cold relief and the other for hot.

i really wished they had not stop making these they are really good when you need to keep cold (that is what i use it for) without the strap. the ones they have now do not have the velcour strap which keeps them in place. i am glad drugstore still has the strap ones .the ones i got from drugstore.com has the straps and it keeps them in place which is nice

It doesn't get so cold that you get "freezer burn" on your skin. The pack molds to your body. I love it!

I use it over my eyes before when going to sleep (after frozen). The relaxation of the eyes are incredible. The only major disadvantage for me is I cannot carry it on board the aircraft because the limit for gel and liquid by the TSA is 3.0 oz and I travel a lot.

I bought this thinking it was the same size as the other I have by the same brand. This one is smaller but a great spare to have in the freezer all the time. I use these after physical therapy and if my PT has worked on my neck, this size is perfect. The price was right, too.

I suffer from migraines, and these coldpacks are the perfect solution when I get an attack. They stay in my freezer, do not get hard like other cold packs and easily conform to my head and eye area. I have 5 of them. I also love the convenience of being able to take them vacation with me.

I have five gel packs always in the freezer. For several years, I have been using it for back, knee and shoulder pain and for severe headaches. This is the best effective non-medication therapy for pain. It is difficult to find the stock on the shelf. Recently, one doctor recommended alternating hot and cold theracy for my back pain. The bone dctor advised me to use ice therapy.

I have bursitis in my hip and have been advised by my doctor to ice my hip, especially after exercising. The Nexcare pad is similar to a pad that was given me by my doctor, but is even better because of the elastic strap, which I use to keep the pouch closed, and can also use to keep the pad where it belongs on my leg.
