I've been using this or the 10% version for oily skin for several years, and gets lots of compliments on my 55-year-old skin. I use it at night without moisturizer and use an oil-free moisturizer in the morning on my combination skin. Great results at an affordable price. Why pay more for department store brands?

It definitely takes a few weeks for your skin to get used to this product. Due to the high content of glycolic acid, it will cause dryness, redness and irritation at first; unless you already use AHA/glycolic acid products. BUT IT IS WORTH IT!!! It took me 35 years to find it, but I'm so glad I did. I've used Alpha Hydrox for the past 2-3 years, working my way up to the AHA Souffle, which is their strongest. It has shrunk my pores, evened my skin tone and minimized blemishes AND fine lines. Until recently, I NEVER went out without foundation. Now I can. I can't say enough about this product and it is such a bargain to boot!

I know this product has many good reviews either in the US or in my country. I looked so forward to using this product but I got disappointed with the result. I applied this product every day and night for 2 weeks. Everytime I used it, it really irritated my skin. I tried to use a smaller amount, the outcome was still the same. I'm not sure if it's the acid or not. Maybe 12% is too much for me. I don't think my skin is that sensitive as I have never have problems like this with other products in the past. Only this one. I don't know why and I am not saying it is a bad product. Maybe it just doesn't suit me. If anyone can give me any suggestion, please do!

I have used less than a month so the jury is still out. I do see some fine lines improvement but I think I need to cut back to every other night as it is starting to burn when I first put it on. I am going to start putting more moisturizer with it and hope that wont dimenish the results. My over all skin texture is better except for a few dry flaky spots. Keep away from eyes.

I read the reviews before I bought this product. I am with the majority who love it. I have combination skin where my t-zone is a little shiny at times but if I use acne products it will dry my skin out. I was worried this product would do the same but it didn't. I am using it once a night and put on the mositurizer in the morning. I have noticed an improvement in my skin tone and texture. I haven't broken out since I started using it (I used to break out maybe once a month). The pores on my nose have shrunken. Plus for [$] you get a lot of cream and a little goes a long way here. Sometimes my face tingles a little after I put it on but it isn't uncomfortable and I expected that based on the reviews.

It irritated my face with red itching spots in my chin and cheeks. It was terrible! not even my make up could cover the redness. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT!!

I am a skincare product addict and have tried many other more expensive products, but always come back to this one. I use it every night under my moisturizer and it has shrunk my pores, evened my skin tone, and cut down the occasional acne I had on my chin. I would definitely recommend, but you have to use a moisturizer, too, as it doesn't moisturize.
