I use this product once a day along with ProActiv cleanser. It is a nice balance to the ProActiv soap and offers a gentle break on my skin from overdrying.

I love this facial cleanser. I have never have had any trouble with the micro beads. I wet my face and rub the cleanser between my hands then apply to face. Works like a charm. I tend to have dry skin and this seems to leave it ready for the moisturizer. Have used others and they don't leave me feeling clean!

Microbeads are annoying

Good product with an unfortunate gimmick... This cleanser is gentle and removes makeup pretty well, although I have to wash around my eyes twice get rid of waterproof eyeliner and mascara. It leaves skin feeling clean but not stripped, and so far after a month of use it doesn't cause any dryness. The problem is the gimmicky microbeads. Apparently they contain the Vitamins A & E and MUST be burst before you apply, or else you're not getting the supposed vitamin benefit. Its an annoying waste of time to have to chase the slippery little beads in the palm of your hand to pop them all before using the wash. If you don't pop them, they don't dissolve and will lodge in your hairline or other unfortunate places. Alpha-Hydrox should just add the vitamins A & E into the cleanser and do away with the microbeads--they are more trouble than they're worth.

I started using this line about 12 years ago,at that time I was in my mid forties and had a son in grammar school.All the moms were younger but I always got compliments on my skin. Couldn't find it for a couple years and glad I found it again.I have used many expensive brand names but always go back to this product line!

This face wash is ok. Doesn't dry out skin after wash. I gave it a 3 first I don't like the Microbeads. It is not Micro it is big. It doesn't melt easy secondly I don't see any improvements. May be I am using the Alpha Hydrox AHA Souffle and my skin has been improved therefore I don't see additional result. Since I got good result with Alpha Hydrox AHA Souffle I will try their Alpha Hydrox Foaming Face Wash to see if this one will be better. I will update after my use.

I normally don't like products that contain beads because they have a tendency to not want to rinse away, especially if you don't use in the shower. But these beads dissolve when you rub them onto your skin. It's a very mild cleanser with very minimal if any scent. It develops a creamy foam that seems to rinse off easily with a wash cloth. I always use a wash cloth because it seems to exfoliate better than just my hands and also because it doesn't make as much of a mess to rinse as splashing water. This product is just as effective as much higher priced products. Unless you have extremely bad acne or extremely dry skin I would recommend this product.
